Mark Hughes has taken the squad to Orlando today for a winter break!
Having said that, he could have stayed home, we have had unseasonal high temperatures here in Blackburn for the past few days....14C and lots of sunshine! Unbelievable for February!
Lets hope they come back refreshed and in the mood to thrash Bolton.

Good grief -- how can that make any sense??? What a long plane trip for a few days in Florida.

Any word as to whether Blackburn will be playing any friendlies against MLS teams who are training in Florida?

I just came back from today's training session. Got to meet and chat with a lot of the players. Very nice guys and very approachable. I'll post some pictures later. Oh and there was never to be a friendly with any MLS team. These guys just need the rest.

Here's the link to the pics. Hope you don't mind the Arsenal kit my son was wearing.

Some comments about the players.
Benny - Cool guy. Speaks spanish fluently. He told me on account he lived in Spain for 10 yrs ( Celta Vigo) and is married to a Spanish lady.
David Bentley. Very nice and makes friends easy. He chatted with some guys he met while down here and they seemed to get on pretty well. Very approachable and willing to take all the pictures we wanted and autographs. Last guy to get on the bus.
Andre Ooijer. Extroverted. First guy to come over and sign autographs.
Ryan Nelsen. Easy going. Liked his NZ way of speaking.
Matt Derbyshire. Again very approachable and willing to sign and take pics. Seemed to enjoy interacting with the kids.
Gamst. Told me he was enjoyng the trip and weather and change of scenery.
Chris Samba. Big guy. Nice though.
Brad Friedel. Immediately made eye contact when we got there and waved and said hi.
Tugay. Looks younger in person!
That's all I can remember now.

Thanks for the pictures! Fantastic! Must have been a HUGE thrill for your(?) kid to get all of those autographs. How fun! :-)
