Ok, here we go:
Long story short, I have a few songs in iTunes that have both the artist and song title fields filled out. Yet, when I find these songs on my iPod, they're only listed under the song list, and not the artist list.
I tried removing one from iTunes and re-adding it as a test. I did not synch my iPod between the removal and re-add, FWIW.
Any ideas on how I can make these rogue songs appear in the Artist menu??

I've noticed that some song titles change when I transfer them from my ipod to my macbook pro. Same thing happened when I had a Zen from Creative Labs.
So far I haven't found a solution to ensure 100% the songs keep all the info of each one.
The best thing to do would be to *first* try and ensure the mp3s come from the same source. ie. same cd, same music store, etc...
This because i have noticed that if songs have a different bit rate, or maybe one song out of a whole cd has more info (composer, year, etc...) than the rest of the album then more problems might arise after a transfer.
I always make sure every song on each album has the exact same information such as artist, album, track number, genre, album number, year etc...to avoid problems...
and btw, I have also noticed that the mp3s I create out of my own cds, are always solid and never create any troubles when transferring, as opposed to the albums I *ahem* acquire over the internet, which after a transfer I noticed random songs rename themselves with "track 1" or random stuff like that.
Sorry if that wasn't of any help at all. But just make sure you add more info to all the songs, as they tend to act more as a unity (whole album) when basic info is added to them.

I hate to do this to you, but there is a way to add this information in the Nomad. Unfortunately, I haven't found anyway to do thia other than manually. Secondly, I would need to be at my computer and not this work computer to walk you through it.
But there is hope!
