Crap, 2-1 now after an unfortunate break leads to an Andy Cole goalHow realistic is it that Pickens could beat out Lee Camp.Is Lee Camp rated at all or just looked at as the best we got.

So a rather dissapointing end to an otherwise great half. Martin Rowlands was forced to come out of the match with an injury. Following that, a disputed free kick was turned into a goal for Andy Cole.
2-1 at HT - need to get the momentum back after the break.

I think that Camp would have to suffer a couple poor matches to lose the spot. The management staff wanted Pickens to come in and be a solid back-up for now. And he's only on a 6 month deal. This could very well just be a first step for Pickens in securing a deal with another club.
Lee Camp was sought after (as a permanent signing) by the Rs for more than 3 seasons, and finally joined last summer from Derby. I'd be surprised if he wasn't in the clubs longterm plans.

Camp has some caps (5, I think) for the England U-21 team, so he's well rated for a young keeper. He's just 23 now, so he's younger than Pickens (25). He's listed a 6'0, so he's not particularly tall for a keeper and Pickens (6'5) has an edge there.

Pickens could be good in England as he is a big GK who's physical and likes to mix it up in the box and on crosses.

So he is rated as being solid.
In his teens, Camp was very highly rated, getting youth caps (as Atouk mentioned). He was the clear loser in a race for the Derby GK spot with Stephen Bywater over the past few seasons. As a result, his prestige dipped and he left Derby for 300k.

Odd incident on the pitch - apparently two men ran on in some sort of protest. No word on what it was all about. Play was stopped for a couple minutes while the stewards escorted them off.
Hmm
