0 0 at the half. Revs playing well and composed. Woldi has had three very close ones. Cancela and Joseph are a great combo. Momentum with the Revs. One great save by Reise otherwise DCU have not threatened. Great to see Rusty back. Kovalenco is a THUG. Ivanov should be off with a second yellow. (When will MLS Refs not give leeway when a player already has one card--a cardable foul is a cardable foul)

I think I am going to start rooting for an A-league team. This is just awful. Why does it always have to be Dema f-ing Kovalenko????

At least the Red Sox won ...
<sigh>
It's not hopeless, it just feels that way. There is still time. Lets hope that this was the last loss of the season. Lets go winning streak.

I'm generally satisfied with the level of play the Revs showed tonight. I just wish they'd stop conceding these late-game goals. :( Also, that off-the-posts shot by Twellman was over the line after the first bounce, should've been a goal.
I'm totally baffled by the Heaps-Convey sendoff. What was that all about? Does anyone know? If you ask me, I think Ivanov shoud've been sent off before Convey.
Matt Reis had his best game as a Rev yet. Great save in the first half, solid performance otherwise. He did good to block the Stoitchkov bullet, but there was no way he was going to catch it and Kovalenko was right there for the rebound.
But yeah, you know, while we were watching the second half, I turned to my girlfriend and said, "The thing is, I just bet that the Revs are going to play well but concede a goal at the end of the match and lose anyway."
...so it's my fault, I'm sorry.

Another train wreck.
Why is Wolde even on the field? He missed his chances, and gave the ball away countless times.
Ralston and Kamler were non-entities. Shalrie and Cancela did well in holding the ball, but did they make any good passes?
Great broadcast on FSW, right? No instant replay, two announcers who were barely paying attention, horrible camera work.
All in all, a terrible evening. DC United is a lousy team, but the Revs still can't beat them. What gives?

I thought I saw Convey make a kicking motion at Heaps once the whistle was blown, but not actually follow through. I don't know why Heaps got the card.

Dema Kovalenko is a punk.
Olsen is a punk with a bad haircut.
Hristo is an old dried up punk.
Ray Hudson is a daft old punk.
I hate DC United.

AGAIN--
The Revs played well enough to win for most of the match and somehow found a way to lose. Reis gives up a rebound in extra time that gets put back for a goal. DCU 1-0. Un F--king real. TnT had a shot that hit BOTH posts but didn't go in. Waldi hit the post twice. Ramando made a bunch of saves. For most of the match the Revs had the best of the run of play---but somehow found a way to lose in the closing minutes of the match.
The Revs seem snake bitten.

Joe Max is injured. I'd rather have Wolde up front than Jason Moore, and Noonan still seems more comfortable as a sub than a starter.
Ralston and Kamler were non-entities.
No, they weren't. Kam broke up numerous attacks and had a couple of good crosses into the box. And Ralston ALMOST, ALMOST caught Rimando out too far. That was a good shot.

Sounds like par for the course for FSW. I watched the game on the WB, much better stuff there.

im speechless. Twellman wasn't on, and that hurt the Revs attack alot. We need a wake up call.

I know Joe-Max is injured. Wolde is useless. I would start Noonan.
Ralston had one shot. What else did he do.
Kamler runs in slow motion, but I admit he had a little bit of life tonight. He did make a few decent plays, so I retract my comment about Kamler.

You could feel this one coming all the way. Oh well, I'm beginning not to care any more....

Revs simply couldn't get a break.
DC are thugs- how many times was Kovalenko
allowed to take Cancella down from behind??
Olsen's first move is always a push (or an elbow)-
The Ref gave them the upper hand by letting this kind of crap go.
Good to have Rusty back!
Trying to think positive,

WHY OH WHY is this franchisae so unlucky. They played well enough to earn a draw if not the win but as the saying goes, if it weren't for bad luck they wouldn't have any luck at all. 4 posts and no goals AAAARRRRGGGHHHHHH

Well, at least they didn't stop playing after 80 minutes - they waited until stoppage time to stop. And why was there only two minutes of stoppage time, anyway? It took more than two minutes just to sort out the clusterf*** around the two red cards.

I have never seen a shot bounce out after hitting two posts. That's unlucky.
I think they need to cut off a chicken's head.
Anybody have a better idea?

I coudln't believe neither of the guys on WB saw what happened. Were they faking it from a studio?
I remember one of them saying "Well, it's hot out here...blah something about sumo wrestling..."
Pretty sure it was Max on FSW studio in LA.

They didn't stop playing. Reis gave up a rebound and if a Keeper does that it will cost you a goal and in this case the match. We need to get Adin Brown back.

sacrfice a player instead. For each breakdown, a player should go, that will scare this bunch into not breaking down late in the game.
on the serious note, the revs need to keep playing good and hopefully they'll start catching some breaks. Hey, colorado did it.

I'm sorry but I must disagree. Wolde was the most dangerous attacker in the first half. He was denied goals more than "missing chances." That the Revs didn't score in the first half is due to Rimando's work than Wolde's misses.

Joseph, Cancela and Ralston had some really nice combination work going on in the latter half of the first half. It was really beautiful soccer. Unfortunately it didn't result in a goal. Kamler was quiet for long stretches, but by your own admission he still did play well.

Oh, I was forced to watch the game on FSw as well. It was freakin' awful! I even suffered through the post game stuff to get a look at the reason Heaps was carded and still have no clue. Anyone watching on WB have a look at what Heaps did to deserve a red?
