Linz just admitted he dove on the first penalty in an interview.
The 2nd penalty was even more bogus imo.

Two gifts for Braga but Wiese proved to be a party-pooper. :D
Good result but not satisfied with our game at all. Didn't do enough in the second half althouh the opponent sucked.

Reporter: "Was it justice, that you missed the penalty?"
Linz (Braga player): "It was no penalty, but if you have a penalty in an away game you must use it."
Reporter: "Some player admit, that they dove ..."
Linz: "I don´t know any player".
The 2nd penalty was even more bogus imo.
The best was the interview with Wiese.
Wiese: "I punched the ball away and this bird (he means the Braga player)
layed over me and the referee decided penalty ...
I have seen many blind referees, but the one today was the worst of it."
He´s right, the team played well (especally in first half) and the joke of
a referee nearly destroyed everything. The Braga penalties were all divings
and he must have given two penalties for us. The one he gave (hand in penalty area)
and the one where Diego was fouled in the Braga penalty area.
But no need to complain about it, it seems to be destiny in this year, that
the referees cheat us. Today Tim Wiese gladly made justice and played another very good match.
He made three saved penalties within 4 days and showed a very consistent performance over the last 3 years.
As i said before in another thread: before you make the young inexperienced keepers
candiates for the NT, you should take a look to Werder and give Wiese (who is quite young) a chance.

No, he shouldn't.
Adler played as good and Enke is as good week in and out.
Wiese is too inconsistent.

Horrible performance from my team but I suspected as much from how things have been going from what was a rising team in Portugal for the past couple of years. Werder looked like they couldn't care less about this game and Braga done nothing to take advantage.
I do however see a lot of comments about bogus penalties and I find them to be hilarious. Your goalie jumps in front of a player and wraps his legs around him and that is not a Penalty? Linz "Admitted" he dove? Please your team won and you show that little class? How about commenting on the PK against Braga? Oh that was well deserved I assume?
Braga sucked, Werder were better although the first 2 goals should of been saved a decent keeper would of had a shot, but I digress I saw this loss coming and it was well deserved. I would of liked to see Werder play Braga from 3 years ago, your players would of actually had to try.

Just saw the last ~5 minutes of the Leverkusen game. Heard that Adler made a good game but just saw that one situation when Nonda nearly scored after a mistake made by Adler. ;)

I think we've got this tie in the bag, unless Werder screw up in Portugal.
I'm interested to see how far we'll go this year.
But I honestly don't think we have what it takes to win it.

So fans and supporters alike should not comment on their opinion on whether a penalty was valid or not because that shows lack of class?? :confused: Funny, I thought that was what forums are for...:rolleyes:
