Bugger 2-2, and I really do hate to say it but I predicted the score would be 2-2. I hate football.
So, it's all your fault then?? ;)

A bright spot, of course has been the addition of Paul Dickov. His scoring ability has been welcome obviously but he seems to bring a spark to the rest of the team. Can he inspire them to play above and beyond? Remains to be seen, I guess. :)

hmm I wish I hadn't predicted it would be 2-2. However, trying to look at it a bit less passionately, a draw at Hull is a good result (said through gritted teeth). They are doing well this season and could have gone into a promotion play off spot with a win so for us to go there and hold them is a positive.
But, (and it is a BIG but!!!) for the umpteenth time this season we have thrown away a lead. Not only that but thrown away a good 2-0 lead away from home. In addition Kaspars getting himself sent off means Jacko will step in which is fine but Kaspars has become a really important player for us and we can't afford to be losing players of his quality due to disciplinary reasons. We need to be winning games. Plus a win would have put us on 40 points, only 5 points off 6th place and more importantly a lot closer to our ultimate target this season of just staying up, and something like 50-55 points should see us safe. Instead we remain 7 points off the relegation places.
At least though it is a point closer to the 50-55 points, and the sooner we can get there the better!
Up next of course are Wolves at home on Tuesday and yet another big game, with almost certainly another virtual sell out for the home fans and I expect Wolves to bring quite a few even though it is a mid-week match. And with their result today, losing 3-2 at home to Stoke, they will be looking to get back on track with a promotion push. But this is what we have to expect this season, I can't complain about having so many big games. Better this than the past 29 years of dross and dreariness playing the likes of Chesterfield, Rochdale (with all due respect to them they aren't big games nor attractive propositions to be playing) and numerous other lower league clubs

Someone reckons that the skirmishes were not Blackpool fans fighting amongst themselves, but that a Blackpool fan was being ejected by the stewards and Blackpool fans took exception and "kicked off" at the stewards. So it was 'Pool vs Stewards not 'Pool vs 'Pool!

I bet Pool won that fight.

All seems to have been blown up out of proportion as usual with the wonderful stewards. It arose from some banter between the fans and ended up with a 'Pool fan being "shoved" by a copper, so he shoved him back and got nicked for doing so resulting in unhappy fans. Seems it is the silly season given what the stewards did at Southampton which was pathetic.
Ah well a point earned off a team who had they won would have gone into the top six, which also means we have taken 3 points from 4 off them this season. Just a pity Kaspars got sent off as he will now miss the next two matches. But according to reports he was looking jaded. Maybe the short rest will do him good. And in club captain Michael Jackson of course there is the ideal replacement.
