After the international break we are back and this time we get the cellar dwellers in Derby Co. They have given up the most goals and have scored the least so we should go there and kick their ass right? Well, our away form isn't always the best and sometimes I swear we play to the competitions level where we can easily play ours and kick the other teams ass. I'm looking forward to seeing us continue our current form after the draw to man u and TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS vs Derby.
3-0 Spurs!

With an UEFA Cup match midweek, I'd think that Ramos will rest some key players, creating a starting XI made up of some non-starters and players like Hutton that aren't eligible for the UEFA Cup campaign. Given that, its unlikely that we'll see the 4-0 blowout from the previous meeting. Full points will be expected though, and a clean sheet hoped for. 2-0 Spurs.

I agree with Tips, though I think we'll get 3. Will Bent be available for this match?

As Phil Cornwell says, "I'm gonna buy Robert Earnshaw" :D
Oh and GHALY - justice will be served!

I wonder if Ramos brings up Pekhart. With both Berbs and Keane playing on wed, I would like to rest them both or start one and then sub them off after the half. I hope bent is available. I haven't seen that guy on the pitch since what.. NOV?

It would be nice to see a good performance from Bent. Now with Defoe gone I hope he can prove he's worthy for a look from Ramos if Berbs ends up leaving in the summer.

I would love to see us field a very young team against the troubled Rams. We better win I don't really care by how much just as long as we win it.

We need to win away from home more often and this is a game we have to try and win, as Hauler says, don't really care how much we win buy, just as long as we win.

Why do I always get nervous? It's Derby, I tell myself. It's only Derby.

Agreed, Colm. But even though it's Derby, it's always possible to lose, so I don't want to see some sort of experimental lineup out there. Winning this game could realistically start us on a drive up the table, so I don't want to lose this opportunity for points and to see us lose any momentum we may have gained from our recent performances.

we won't have woodgate for this game as he's suspended. Hopefully King is fit to play.
If not the question is who do we want as our other CB besides Dawson? Kaboul I doubt it, chimbo could possibly move over to play CB and let hutton and gilberto play the right and left backs.

2-0 Spurs. Not as convincing of a performance as we'd want.

No King, apparently - from club website:
Jonathan Woodgate is suspended for Saturday’s match against Derby County in the Barclays Premier League at Pride Park.
The defender picked up his fifth yellow card against United and sits it out for one match.
Ledley King is rested for this fixture while Didier Zokora remains on international duty for the Ivory Coast in the African Cup of Nations. He plays in the third/fourth place play-off against Ghana on Saturday.
Good news sees long-term injured Gareth Bale and Benoit Assou-Ekotto begin their rehabilitation, although both are out for the season.
Hutton is a definite because he can't play in UEFA midweek, so I think chan is right about Chimbo at CB. In midfield we could rest some some starters against opposition we should dominate. Steed, O'Hara, Boateng, Taarabt maybe.
No news about Bent... seems like he could figure. He got his first (soft) goal against Derby at the Lane. If he's match fit, he surely must play.
We are 7 points behind 10th, 12 points behind 7th. I know a lot of the remaining games are easy but to make up 12 in 13 games is asking too much. I'm looking for an 8th or 9th place finish.

It took us a full 14 min to lose a defender -- Dawson out Kaboul in with Hutton and Chimbonda -- should keep things nervy even against Derby...come on Bent -- earn your wages -- great opportunity for you against soft opposition.

Derby are playing quite well, listening to the radio Derby should have scored just a moment ago.

Yeah sounded like Prince made a mistake that Derby blew -- they have no pressure on them at home and are thus dangerous till we get a couple goals and break them, until them I'll listen rather than watch Sunderland Wigan or Harlequins Wigan --
