Derby have been a lot better under Jewell, much more organisation and fight in them until the first goal. Robbie Savage being a pest as usual and Stubbs was organising their back 4. Once we scored then it was only a question of how many, but we were lucky not to be needing an equaliser at that point, was such a clear chance for Barnes.
Anyway, some fringe players got a runout and now we get two games in Europe and then the cup final.

You've got to give it to the fans of Derby County. 9 points in the league and they're still filling the stadium. When Derby was pushing early in the 2nd half I was sure they were going to break the deadlock. The fans were immense and we were lucky to score first. It's a shame Berbs had to come on because Bent wasn't able to do much. Could be just because he wasn't match fit, I don't really know. Hutton made some really inventive plays in the second half and it's going to be really exciting to watch him play for the rest of the season.

Welcome aboard. If that first half performance of his didn't seal it for you, I'm not sure what else will aside from an own goal. Kid is utter garbage. Can't play with the ball, can't play off the ball, and can't seem to pass the ball. Quite a skill set. Ship him out in the summer, and any money lost in the transfer gets taken out of Comolli's wallet.
I was high on KPB early in the year, but he is utter crap. One of the announcers mentioned that he was the German player of the year two years ago. If that's true, I'd hate to see the quality in the Bundesliga.

Kaboul has potential - great athleticism and skills, but then makes really boneheaded passes at times. Boateng is - what is the word you Brits use? Ah yes..."pants."
I think Kaboul is too concerned with offense for a center back... though I certainly loved his goal at the time, I almost feel as if that kind of play will only encourage him. He always seems to be more concerned with making a great pass and/or getting forward rather than clearing the ball and keeping the back safe. If he wants to fit in here long term, we need him to be a defender first and an offensive player only when a great opportunity presents itself.
Also, agree with all the comments on KPB. He plays hard and tackles hard, but he cant dribble or pass, so he is rather useless as a midfielder.

The W is good for me. Played pretty bad in the first not many chances Berbs came on and we were another team. Well done.

He is only 'Best Young Player of the year', not the player of the year. :o

Good win, but it's to be expected against Derby. Now let's go to Prague and pick up another away win.
And yeah, Boateng sucks. He has no discipline, especially, resulting in stupid fouls.

One more thing to add: the navy blue away kit is freakin' sweet.
