These questions are totally different, but I need an answer for both.
1) What is name of the goalkeeper shirt that is usually worn by US Keepers in international matches that is like mainly gray and has some yellow on it? Is there anywhere I could buy one like that or similar online?
2) When you are in a game situation, and the other team has a breakaway him vs. you, what do you usually do?
A) Cut off his angle and hope to save the shot
B) Pressure the guy and force him to make a play
C) Other
What is the most effective technique for the above?
Well, thanks for any help.

1. Nike Mercurial jersey i believe...not sure where you can find it because a new model has come out to replace the one you described
2. If the ball is at the attackers feet with control, come out looking big, hands to your side and basically jockey him as you would a defender. Force him to make a mistake, if the ball leaves his foot make the dive to grab the ball.

It depends on the situation. If the attacker has the ball in control I ussaully wait for he too make the first move while cut down the angle best I can. However, if he kicks the ball to far out front of his (as many players do) then you would probably want to slide tackle the ball form him.

I'm not a keeper so this could be totally off. However, I do play defense.;)
I'd vote for A and B. Progressively pressure him, while cutting off the angle. This way, if he shoots it, you can quickly jump on it, with no worries about trying to save it in a huge net.

that's what you should do, but eventually A will turn into B. I would go out in a controlled manner, look big and eventually force him to a side (preferably his weaker foot).

For question 1. The jersey is actually usually black and gray or flourescent yellow and blue. It is called the Nike United GK Jersey. It's only availible from Europe. Try www.acasports.co.uk and www.prodirectsoccer.com but there are many other places to get it.
As for #2. I approach the attacker at the same speed as he/she is going and then stop about two arm lengths away from the attacker. Then I wait for the attacker to make the first move (that's the key) don't commit until the last possible moment. And as you're approaching be low and ready for a shot, always expect a shot.Take a look here:www.frii.com/~benji/goalkeeping

I coach youth keepers and I tell my keepers to imagine a line connecting the ball to the center of the goal line, and you always want to be standing on that line. You should have your hands wide and low, and you should be standing close enough to the ball that you can't be easily chipped, but far enough that one touch won't beat you.
Once you learn to maintain that position, it's just a matter of waiting for a mistake and pouncing on it.
I stopped one breakaway in a scrimmage because the striker simply never had a shot to take. He got to the byline about three yards from the goal before he finally tried pulling the trigger with me standing less than two yards from him. Fortunately or unfortunately depending on your view, I made the save with my face....

Well, my method for stopping break-aways is to be as agressive as you can. as soon as he/she gets into your box, you need to be there. You need to be very quick in getting there because 1) it will make it much harder to get chipped if you are right on the ball. And 2) if you know the striker isnt that skilled, you may make the player nervous, forceing a mistake. You should go in in the standard diving position and make yourself as big as you can. Sprint towards the attacker. Gradualy slow down before you reach him/her then dive straight into the ball. Pull it into your body and pull your leg up to protect your face and the ball. Works for me! :D.
Speaking of keeper jerseys; where do you think I could get the same type of jersey Oliver Kahn wore in the FIFA 2002 world cup? Thanks.

Once I learned to hold my position and let the other guy make the first mistake, I started saving breakaways that I used to let in all the time.

It depends on the situation (great weasel answer :-)
A lot depends on how well I know the shooter. If I know he's just a finisher, then I'll charge him and force him to beat me under pressure. If I know he's got great ball control, I'll cut off his angle, make myself big and hope either he shoots in to me or that I can slow him down long enough to for a defender to get back.
If I don't know the shooter, I usually make a snap judgement based upon the situation. Is he keeping close control on the breakaway? How fast is he going? How far behind are my defenders? Is he coming straight on or from an angle?
