Drunk Movies

Who likes to get drunk and watch movies? Name some movies that are better after a few drinks.

It's usually what we do at after hours (after the bars close) parties.

We usually choose loud, action movies like Saving Private Ryan, Patriot, Gladiator, etc. Although, Old School has become a popular choice lately.

Try watching the Big Leobowski and drinking a white russian (milk, rum, and vodka) every time he does. My friends and I started out doing that, then skipped the cream and moved onto to vodka. The three of us drank about 3/4 a handle that night. I believe I was hungover for 24 hours. On second thought, don't do it.

Leaving Las Vegas. TRY and match Nicholas Cage drink for drink. I dare ya....

btw, there's something about Elisabeth Shue done up like a hooker that gets me all vertical.

The Big Lebowski, Half-Baked, Can't Hardly Wait, Usual Suspects uptil the scene when they got all 5 of them to repeat "Hand me the keys...", there's more but I was always too drunk to remember :)

Animal House and The Blues Brothers

My favorite so far has been Goldmember. I saw it opening weekend in a packed theater with about 8 friends. Everybody in our group was buzzed but my best friend and I were trashed. I nearly got kicked out because I was laughing so loud.

I don't really go for this anymore (I'd probably fall asleep nowadays), but we used to do the late night wasted film thing as well:

Spinal Tap and Caddyshack were probably the two most common.

I always felt that pot was a better movie watching drug though, as its effects are more introspective and personal than booze's.

I never saw Jackass in the theater, but I have it on DVD. I regret not seeing it drunk on opening weekend.

I do not recommend seeing Dracula 2000 drunk or sober. I thought it was one of the dumbest movies I've ever seen. And if you review the movies I listed, you know I've seen some dumb movies. Same goes for Jeepers Creepers.

i'm assuming you're referring to the one by Roger Waters; i didnt go to suicidal but i did watch it with an acoustic guitar in hand and let us just say that when "one of my turns" and "brick in the wall 3" i almost acted them out myself
