Don't think it really matters what football team you follow. Today we should all remember.

Such great talent lost. We should all remember the 21 people who lost their lives.

Generally a very tragic day for english football :( but also ;)
at least the new kit looks good, white numbers make so much more sense

Absolutely. Reminds me of the away kit we wore in the 2002 WC with the traditional white lettering!

ffs, no offence but im up to my eyeballs in this busby babes stuff
rip and everything but u can't escape it
tragic accident, but does anyone remember the 100+ who died on that fatefull concorde flight?
its just my opinion....but its being pushed on us over and over....i hate to say it, but if any other 'lesser' team suffered the same loss, would it be as prominant?
regardless
lakers are on tonight on raptorsnation.net
the gasol trade is awesome, phil jackson has a decent line up when bynums back!

In 1972 the University of Marshall's Gridiron football team was also involved in a tragic plane crash. With all of the different clubs, flying all over the world, in different countries and even in different sports. It is quite remarkable that this has not happened more often.

How can you say that, it's been one day? This is barely even remembered as a minutes silence at most venues. How do you feel about Hillsbrough, that is one over played tragedy if ever there was one.

At the risk of being faceciously disrespectful, think about the poor Harchester United fans, for whom such tragedy was a seasonal occurance....
Im still very intrigued to see if manufacturers are gonna cash in on it, I heard the ManC shirt won't be going on sale, but at the same time surely the only people who would buy it are infact those who strongly want to show their support and commemorate it so why shouldn't they be able to rep their passion...
Still think the black boot thing is gonna lead us to the Mercurial SLs on the boy, who is in need of inspiration after a veritable drought not scoring for a second consecutive game....

Oh God Case!!
But to be honest i was thinking the same thing earlier. I can't believe they got away with the over fetched storyline.
Munich has been one day, its only in the public attention so much today because its been 50 years since the disaster. Manchester United never normally shove it anyone elses face although they remember it every year. Its a personal thing to the club, its just been pushed into the spotlight as 50 years is a significant anniversary.

must say i hate man u and i dont really care about it. wasnt even born then, shit like that happens every day why are they any different. and i am a bit tired of it, sky sports news harping on about it. its all just a bit tired if you ask me.
world wars fair enough, maybe even september 11, but this was 23 people that died in an accident. hardly a tragedy imo.

I just have one question: Why did the Busby Babes shirts come out last season, if they knew that the 50th Anniversary would take place this season?

They'll be wearing a custom 1950s style kit with the starting 11 wearing numbers 1-11 and no sponsor this Sunday.
Last year's shirt was more of a 50s inspired shirt than a commemorative.

Lets talk about the international friendlies
England won-actually suprised.
Holland-Very good way to show that you actually are a powerhouse
Italy-Old but still got it
USA vs Mexico- Good fast paced game with a lot of emotion. To bad it was sloppy. Altidore had a nice goal. This guy is going to be good. Moor was at fault for both goal given up.

Brazil edged out Ireland 1-0, typical Robinho goal. Luis Fabiano had his fair share of chances though.
