Ha! He married the man-eater.

PARIS - French President Nicolas Sarkozy married former model Carla Bruni on Saturday at the Elysee Palace, according to the official who performed the ceremony.

I think Sarkozy forgot that not all French citizens reads Gala and Voici every week.

This morning, on France-Inter, the "journalist" commented ... private SMS sent by Sarkozy to Cecilia.

On France-Inter. Not Skyrock or NRJ. France-Inter, the serious public network. Paid with my taxes. Serious journalists with their "grandes écoles" diplomas.

The whole intellectual life in this country has reached "Closer" and "Voici" levels.

The whole intellectual life in this country has reached "Closer" and "Voici" levels.you're completely missing the point. this is a shining example of france's capacity to rethink itself!

a lot of the radiojournalists you're criticizing kept mazarine quiet until mitterrand was buried, but with a speed-dating president you've got to modernize! that stick-in-the-mud finkielkraut dixit: "quand on est chef d'état on ne va pas à disneyland, on fait semblant d'aimer le louvre". but after you sell the louvre to abu dhabi, walt's your uncle!

Do we know what the new First Lady made of this SMS.

I heard (correct me if untrue), he offered to call off the wedding. Two minutes before the ceremony.

It seems the whole SMS story was a fake. Obviously : how could people know what Sarkozy writes ? BTW, Sarkozy is suing the cretinous reporters who launched the rumor. I do hope they'll pay the max.

The fact the whole story is wrong makes the thing even worse. How could "serious" journalists be that incompetent ? Mind you, after what they did to poor Dominique Baudis (*), they can't fall lower. Video vultures and tabloïds. All of them. And internet makes things even worse.

Finkielkraut is right. This is a decline of civilization. Medias today use the same kind of methods than nazis in the 30', except they're doing this for cash, not because of ideology. The result will be the same.

I have no TV already. I'll soon have to throw away my radio as well, and stop reading newspapers too. Maybe I'll go living in a place like this :

and watch this world from afar, as its own stupidity engulfs it.

------------------------------
(*) Dominique Baudis is a French politian. Journalists, including "serious" TV networks like Canal +, launched an abject rumor saying (you won't believe it) that he was in league with a serial killer and that he raped, tortured and killed children in a private dungeon. Of course, everything was wrong from A to Z. But the rumor was repeated, and made public, by the media. Serious, professional, nationwide media.

Just saw this on the orange.fr portal...

The future of the love relationship of the president and his wife lies in the stars...

Billions of years of evolution, thousands of years for culture and technology and this is where we end up...The whole society wants us to be satisfied about it. I find it difficult at times...
