It seem like the TEENAGE SOCCER SENSATION is been exploited in one riches soccer league in Europe...And I ask myself ...Does Barcelona FC need any promotions ? of course not ! Hey but it never hurt to have a little bit of it. I hope that MLS does not turn a blind eye on the new batch of kids coming out.... Hey... we never know:cool:

Thanks for the correction.... Does not make sense...? Why ? I though this section was the place to discuss MLS youth development ? I am trying to correlate Barcelona youth development with MLS youth development...In my perception this is working well for Barca It should work better for MLS as well and boy we really needed. Thanks God we got Jozmer but why stop there ? there is a new batch of highly motivated youngster and MLS should be working and making noise about them, never know, perhaps we could find another Landon Donovan.....

Its not relevant because comparing anything youth wise in the MLS to that of Barcelona is a waste of time. So many aspects that make it completely different stories. Not worth the time to explain.

Come on Gunner....Pop the cork...Let it spill... you have to believe on the trickle management....Many people in MLS even with the best intention does not have the insight to implement the best decisions for the league. Even if those decisions get us closer to establish MLS soccer within the best on the planet, we as USA fans have the responsibility to instigate further development

For the sake of the argument, what is Barcelona is doing better than MLS ? In my opinion Bojan Perez is a prime example of the dynamic that a youngster could bring into the league. It is a primordial mechanic on the homus erectus groups to have youngsters as a company on hunting parties or war, here is where the attraction reside within the primordial mind of many fans .....

Dang I hope I got this right !!!

Even if MLS produced a 'Bojan' they don't pay enough to keep them. I think it's poor that so many choose to play in say Norway then stay in MLS. The 'bigger' leagues I could understand but as is MLS can't compete with 3rd tier euro leagues.

Giovanny Do Santos is playing in La liga and many people could argue that Giovanny is better but didn't USA players look better on the U 18 cup ?

Within the world soccer community there is a tendency to regard USA as close to nothing but keep in mind that Portugal...Germany and Mexico made the same mistake and pay with their azz....:D

Alright fine you want me to go through this?

1. We don't have the money for scouting.
2. We can't bring in kids from abroad (like Barca does a lot) because of visas, money issues, etc.
3. We can't pay players or give them anything because college is so important, and they would lose their eligibility. You want to have a better system? Then maybe we should teach people in America to not think about their education.
4. We don't have talent like spain does.
5. We don't have the money.
6. We don't have the money.
7. We don't have the money.
8. What works in Spain doesn't work in the U.S.
9. We are not part of the European Union where it is much easier to move about.
10. We don't have the image to draw top talents to us.
11. Youth teams in the U.S. are flawed, and the corruption/nepotism is hard to displace.
12. MLS is a single entity and players can not be signed by clubs. In europe, any kid can be signed by any club. MLS clubs can't just sign a Stefan Jerome; the league has to sign them, and those players won't commit yet.

There are so, so many reasons why your statement is so farfetched. In the other thread your statements show your clear lack of understanding. You need to understand the basics before you start questioning MLS capabilities. I've held this back my past couple of posts, but it just has become a bit frustrating.
