Hi -- I have a question. I'm hoping to take a vacation this august to South America, and most likely to Argentina. Can someone tell me if the soccer season is going on then? Thanks in advance.

what dates exactly? remember than from august 13 is the olympics all over the place.

Ah...I totally forgot about the Olympics. I don't know the exact dates, but it would have to be sometime between August 7th and the 28th.

excellent!! and I plan on it... it is incredibly difficult to get much information about what is happening in Argentine soccer... I'd have to regularly read Clarin online or something..

I´m from Sao Paulo and as you know, there´s a lot of chances that a final between Brazil and Argentina will happen in Libertadores.
What do you expect about those semi-finals in Argentina: River X Boca...?
Here in Brazil, we can have a classico too: São Paulo X Santos...
I have sympathy for the Argentinean soccer since Boca beated Palmeiras in 2000, when I bought my first Boca Juniors jersey.
Althought the rivalirity between us (Brazil and Argentina), I think there´s a lot of respect about each other.
But, the love of my life is São Paulo, so I ask you what are you expecting and what the argentine press is saying about the Libertadores.
