Great to see we now have an Argentina board on here! I love watching Futbol Argentino on Fox Sports World (Canada). I'll be back for sure!

I think we all are. The important thing is that we keep coming back and posting so that lack of traffic does not doom our forum once again.

Mario, some of those articles are too long for those of us who understand the spanish! So yes, a brief summary, in either language, would be appreciated.

As far as I'm concerned, these boards are for us to discuss things in whatever language we feel comfortable using. Having said that, I think that we could manage to have some more livelier discussions down here if we were able to not discourage quite as many would-be posters due to the language issue. It's just an issue of making our forum attractive to more users.

I certainly don't want to put an end to spanish posting, just to keep in mind who you want to read, or who might read you post. For example, if someone posts an article in spanish about the D'allesandro transfer, it wouldn't hurt to summarize in english, "D'allesandro completes transfer to Wolfsburg, $9 million".

I remember seeing Mario in Monumental, proudly displaying his River shirt with the Borrachos De La Plata. Man this guy is the biggest River fan I know.

Aguante Mario! :D

I like too discuss about Argentine (and Venezuelan) futbol.
But I have to say:
Letīs hope this is a GOOD place for Argentine futbol, please, keep away those anti-argies because what I have seen in Brazil,UK, Beautiful Game and World Rivalries forums against the Argies just SCARED me :D :D

Blong, I agree wholeheartedly, lets do it in both languages and I just hope our readers become new posters and bring doubts and new elements to our discussions.

HELLO to all :D I'm a major fan of Futbol Argentino, and my only regret is they don't show enough of it over here in the UK. But I manage to get a full game every thursday...

My number 1 team is Independiente, so it's great to see a Mod that support Indpt - I think we'll get on fine, efernandez9 :D

I look forward to chatting with you all, adios

Welcome! I assume the matches you see are the same ones shown on Fox Sports in North America. Unfortunately, you see them four days later.

I don't suppose you get to see "Futbol de Primera" either. It's a tremendous two-hour program we get every Monday night featuring highlights from all the matches, including very extended ones on the matches involving Boca, River, and whatever other clubs are challenging for the top of the table. It's very helpful in keeping up with the clubs if they don't happen to have been featured on the "game of the week."

Are there many Argentine fanaticos where you come from? Or are you all alone?

Indeed, and yeah we do see them 4 days later - it's annoying because knowing the score totally takes away a part of the enjoyment, but what can I do? I don't think there is any way of getting Fox Sports World over here unfortunately...

They show Futbol de Primera sometimes, but never 2 hours - it is always usually an hour. So there is no debate or extended highlights or whatever, usually just the goals plus basic highlights. Again its not great, but what can I do :(

And finally, I'm ALL alone :D I'm probably the biggest Scottish Argentina fan there is, trust me amigo...

I love Argentine football, and watch it on FSW every week (except for the last two, of course :( ). In fact, I have been looking for a comprehensive website, in English, for information on the Argentine league. I have an internet radio show (www.soccerfanaticsradio.com) and would love to feature Argentine league news and results on the show, along with the European stuff that's all over the web. If this thread could turn into a source for that information, I'd be a regular contributor.

I don't have a favorite team, but I follow Independiente a bit closer than others, since my wife has been a fan since Mondragon was their keeper (I think she had a bit of a crush....).

I do not speak or read Spanish. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
