I don't think this is funny anymore. Deportivo have placed him on their CL list and I know they would have to play him to destroy the move, but I fear that Hoeness might say "we've had enough of this" and call the whole thing off.

The deal looks set to be cancelled.
Depor have registered Makaay for the Champions League meaning even if the transfer goes through he would not be able to play for Bayern this season.
Looks like there will be no Makaay at Bayern as Hoeness and co will not be pleased what Depor have done.

Haha aloisius we posted this the same time
I think so long as he is registered he will not be allowed to play for Bayern in the Champions League this season.
The deal is 99% off if what Depor have done is true

Deportivo are now my officially most hated team. Maakay goes training with Bayern and then Deportivo want him back again? Thats just stupid.

I read this at planetfootball
It basically says Depor want Bayern to pay a percentage of the fee (1million) to Vitesse
Bayern are refusing as the club selling the player has to pay.
What I don't understand is Makaay's previous club before Depor was Tenerife. Vitesse was the one before that.
I hope this is not true just media crap but depressingly I feel it's not

No, they would have to play him. I think this is still posturing. I think they are both playing chicken but that can end in terrible crash for both.

If Depor take back Maakay I hope they are knocked out in the qualifing rounds of the CL against Rosenborg. Then the point of taking Maakay back for the CL would be gone. I hope this saga will be over soon...

Deportivo writes about a possible complaint at FIFA:
"Makaay trained without our permit. La Coruna told the German club in written form that the player shall not train to avoid injuries. Bayern Munich did not listen to our demand."
Without knowing what happened behind the scenes: I really wondered why Makaay practised with Bayern although obviously the matter is still unclear. Usually a player is not allowed to train with another club without having an explicit permit.

It seems that the Bayern bosses aren't as smart as I thought they were. I think they are trying to bully the Depor president and he isn't scared.

I think it's the other way around. Lendoiro is doing this to pressure Bayern into paying the 800 000 euros to vitesse which probably was unclear through the negotiations. Bayern are tremendously going to lose face if the transfer collapses now; hence the decision Lendoiro chose to include Makaay.
As far as Hoeness and co. not being smart... I agree with that. They shouldn't have allowed Makaay to train with Bayern when he isn't even officially a Bavarian yet !!

I read that the deal is finally completed now. The transfer sum is 18.75 M, but as Bayern refused to add the 1M, Makaay is paying it himself.

What a great guy! I think he now has to be the most popular player among the fans. He has shown a great desire to play for Bayern .

Bayern pays the full sum to Deportivo, but Makaay gets 250.000 Euro less per year to compensate the million. Really, the club is rich like crazy and they wet their pants because of one lousy million. If I were the player I would ask myself if this is the right club for me ('Korinthenkacker' is the right German term for that)

Maybe it's all just a story Hoeness and co. want to sell to the fans. With two purposes:
1) Bayern save their tough, no-nonsense image. They couldn't look like they are giving in to Depor.
2) Makaay instantly becomes the the clubs most popular player, and the club find a way later to to compensate him for the milion.
