have you watched any fiorentina games this year or any seria a games this year?
If gilardino continues (and thats a big if) to play and produce the way he has than he will be a 20+ goal scorer this year for fiorentina. which would be a complete 360 from what he was doing in milan.
who are your other 3 players ahead of him?

Rooney is a new entry because of his elevated form since Sir Alex and Fabio finally got him to mature a bit. He's a different player. I'm adding Maicon here because he is clearly the best right back in world football and his effect on Inter has been amazing since Mourinho landed there.
While it is true that Rooney has matured the most important factor in his upturn in form is being used correctly for club and country. Berbatov and Heskey has enabled Rooney to return to his usual role in the hole.

not even close. where did you come up with these names. have you watched inter this year or any serie a games this year? i'll give you maicon because he's a fine player but the other 3 defiantly have not had better starts to the season than gila. Fiorentina would not be 3 points behind inter if it wasn't for gila.
9 goals in 12 games is very good for a guy who couldn't get a goal if his life depended on it for the past 3 years.

Of course, but including Quaresma over Gilardino based on performances in Serie A this year is laughable.

Xavi would be one of my main choices. His form right now is ridiculous. He's easily one of the top 5 best midfielders in the world right now.

Messi in the La Liga top 10 is not debatable, the same cannot be said for Aguero.
