Alright then, as a Chelsea fan, I say Ferdinand.

Aren't you supposed to hate Man Utd. more than Liverpool? :D

I guess I'm a bad fan!

Just kidding, I don't follow Chelsea, I just hate Liverpool.

well in barca he still scored 16 goals and had 11 assists for a bad season and scored 7 goals in 8 games in euro qualifiers.

stats dont paint half the picture. its not all about how many you score but how efficient you are with your opportunities. henry wasted so many easy breakaways throughout the whole season, it was pathetic. Xavi, Iniesta and messi constantly played him through balls and he missed shots that most amateur strikers would make (chances that were a lot easier than the one vs. Holland the other night where he chipped over the keeper). henry should not be considered one of the top five players on his team, let alone the world .

If this is your euro 08 top 5 than I believe Wesley Snjeider needs to be #1. To me he has been the best player in this tournament. Still not a bad list

Snjeider
Villa
Podolski
Pepe-didn't watch the game against germany but he was tremendous in the group stages
Modic

Notice not many people have picked players that are there to do things other than score goals. Will throw this out there and will most likely have it thrown at me!! Keep in mind I am not a Man U fan!!

Goalkeeper: Buffon
Defender: Ferdinand/Nesta
Midfield: Scholes (90% passing accuracy in the EPL)
Attacking Midfield: C. Ronaldo hands down
Forward: Tough one but going for Villa at the moment.

Know a few people will laugh at Scholes (age, speed, ability etc) but lets look at the fact that its players like him that give guys like Ronaldo the chance to show their flair. If Ronaldo loses the ball its guys like Ferdinand and Scholes who get it back to him.
