veron is a good player dude

I'm not questioning his abilities as a player at all. With Veron it has always been an issue of his personality. I didn't even like it when we had him at BOCA. I give him credit where it's due. He has chilled out as evidenced by how he's been since returning to Estudiantes and the fact that he didn't kill team morale during the Copa America.

Nice list for the exception of that piece of trash Veron but hey I regress:D Seriously though it's nice to see Rolfi Montenegro mentioned. I've always liked him as a player and thought he was a bit underrated.

Yeah, Montenegro has been amazing for Independiente, the guy is all over the field. You see him on the wing, in the middle, backtracking to defend, he's a one man team. And they won five in a row now and are back in the title hunt, mostly because of him, because they don't have a whole lot.

As far as Veron, he is indeed an ass, but he's been playing awesome for Estudiantes and is also a strong leader for them, we cannot deny that.

Is this based on recent form?

If so, then how is Drogba ahead of Adebayor?

Whether it's based on form or not, how the hell is Torres ahead of Ferdinand?

I think because he's not in the same level that he had in the Torneo Apertura.

That's possible, I haven't really watched a lot of Lanus games this Clausura. I did see quite a bit of him in the Apertura though, he really stood out then.

You guys, don't start. A Liverpool fan advocating Torres and a Man Utd fan preferring Ferdinand are not going to make much of an impression on each other.

I'll offer my insightful, unbiased opinion then ;)

Torres > Ferdinand :p

Alright then, as a Chelsea fan, I say Ferdinand.

Just wait until we get a Boca Juniors fan in here, then we'll get our answer.
