c.ronaldo is the only one i think should be in your list. how bout torres he doing better then garrard?
I'm not sure: Torres is a forward, so his must is to score goals, or at least to make up assists, but even in these stats Gerrard isn't doing worse than him:
- Premier League: T 12g, 2a - G 8g, 7a
- FA Cup: T 0g - G 3g
- League Cup: T 3g - G 1g
- Champions League: T 3g, 0a - G 4g, 2a
- Total: T 18g, 2a - G 16g, 9a

Iniesta over Messi? Iniesta in the Top 5 in the world? I really like Iniesta but he's not nearly THAT good (maybe not yet at least :D).

I think messi is overrated.
IMO, iniesta makes Barcelon click. Most of their works comes through him and if is simply overlooked because he does not provide the end product like a messi or a ronaldinho.

I dont agree Messi is overrated, but you hit it on the nail that Iniesta makes Barcelona click. I have been saying he (Iniesta) is underrated for years now.

Sadly a lot of players like Iniesta are underrated and ignored in favor of the big names. That's just life.

I'll take Messi over Ronaldo any day. So would Barcelona.
Which is exactly why Barcelona will finish behind RM again this year. While very talented, Messi seems to be injury prone and lacks the completeness of a forward like Ronaldo.

Different teams are built around different players. Just because Ronaldo is fantastic for ManU doesn't mean he would be as effective for Barcelona. It would end up being another Galactico situation. You can't just throw a bunch of big names together on a field and hope it works.

No need to state the obvious. My comment was directed at the fact that you would rather have a talented/key player, who has proven himself to be injury prone and therefore misses large parts of the season, over a talented/key player who has shown tremendous consistency in saying fit and injury free.
I was therefore implying that perhaps you favor emotion over intelligence when defending one of your supported team's players.
Hope this clears things up for you.

Even with what you have said, Barca wouldn't "...sell Messi in a heart beat if they though they could get Ronaldo." as tjbirdsfan said.

Thats complete rubbish. Ronaldo needs assists just like any other player. You think he just dribbles past everyone and scores?
Was Totti the best player in the world last season then? he got the most goals...

Assists? No, Messi does it all by himself :D. Do you ever even watch Barca play?

what i mean is that if you take out rona iniesta deco then messi is nothing. send messi to osasuna see if he scores many goals. c. ronaldo is like kerlon, they can play anywhere and still be the best in the field.
