I am thoroughly disapointed in my team 21 points... Henry scored for me but dumbass Sol Campbell got sent off... he has one more game after the suspension, if he so much as thinks of getting a yellow he gets fined 2 weeks wages... next infringment and he will be transfer listed.
Thankfully i still have one or two players playing tommorow... (I think... im seeing red right now cuz of Campbell... 25 sounds so much better than 21)
My non-drafted team did well, except for Ruud missing the PK, I scored a hattrick, Ruud, Henry and Beattie all scored a goal, so good job by the frontline but everyone else stunk up the place...
and damnit all to who ever it was that had 69 points, i call for a recount... there must have been match fixing... you dirty little hansie cronje you!

Well, it didn't take long...
Nocturnal United today signed Junichi Inamoto, hoping to sell more replica kits in Japan. But Inamoto is already a member of ManyPoints FC. To avoid this confusion for the rest of the season, I suggest that managers either create a separeate post in the forum for each individual transfer they do, or give a multi-transfer post a clear title such as "2 in, 2 out" so other managers know to look at more than just the title of the post.
Since the Inamoto transfer announcement was buried within the TOdorov/Jardel post, does Nocturnal U deserve leniency or the letter of the law?
Also some confusion about team values in Michel's database. For example he lists his team value at 100 mil with 2 mil in the bank. Seems unlikely that any team would gain that much in the first week to me. Similar mystery with DC Chix, although .5 rather than 2 in the bank. My own LSG has a value of 99.5 with .5 in the bank, but is listed at 100/0. This is a fine point which I assume is a typo, but caused my eyebrows to raise nonetheless, as some other managers are most interested in team value.

Are we not going by last seasons rules?
I had though we were as nobody said otherwise?
If that is the case his first "error" is forgiven...provided he transfers back the players he exchanged immediately.

Understandable, I checked the title threads and didn't see Inamoto so I figured he was available... You guys don't need to change the rules on my account, I should of checked the messages themeselves, as well as the roster sheets that have been updated... I'll abide by whatever you guys decide my punishment should be...

Check on your team page!
Team value is how much your team is worth; TOTAL.
ie: value of all the players PLUS what you have in the bank.
So 98 million worth of players and 2 million in the bank = a team value of 100 million.
We all started with a team value of 100.0, the money in the bank is just the clever player thinking ahead..... where he will only have to make one transfer to buy a more expensive player, not two... to balance the books.
:)
Early Financial Gains:
1800-UK.com..... +0.1 (Sun Jihai)
London Saint-Germain..... +0.1 (Ronaldo)
Nocturnal United..... +0.1 (Higginbotham)
--------------------------
A special mention to New York United, who had the only player to drop value, so far:
(Kleberson -0.1)
Balanced out with: (Amoruso +0.1)
--------------------------
Money in The Bank:
(Makes no difference to team value)
1800-UK.com.... 2.0
Nocturnal United.... 1.5
W.ConnectionFC.... 1.0
DC Chickenhawks.... 0.5
Romans Roubles.... 0.5
Aviators.... 0.0
Kopite Juniors.... 0.0
London Saint-Germain.... 0.0
Many Points FC.... 0.0
New York United.... 0.0

Why is this even an issue?
I thought the idea was to win the league?
Just curious.

Some people like to play the money league.
We always have a financial table.
:)
Most Valuable Teams is one of the rankings:
http://fantasy.premierleague.com/M/stats.mc?stat=mostvaluable
Currently 100.4 is the maximum.

Correction....
1800-UK.com's team value rise was due to Emerton..... but expect Sun Jihai to rise soon, as well.

When I traded Unsworth (6.0) for Upson(5.5), my roster value changed to 99.5 with 0.5 in the bank. I expect Ronaldo to gain big points as the season goes on as well, he may be the pick of the season for LSG.

No "extra" penalty is warranted in this case. Inamoto never played a game for you, correct? So basically, you already have screwed yourself out of your Free Transfer this week, AND you now have to spend 4 pts to get rid of him before this week's deadline.
However, in a case where the error was NOT caught before the team had been set for the week, the following penalty would apply:
1) Add up the total points scored by illegal player(s) for that week.
2) Round that number up to a number divisible by 4.
3) Guilty manager then makes X number of transfers for that week to equal the the rounded up total points penalty
I think that's pretty a pretty fair and non-punitive way to settle such cases. We've only had this happen twice, and obvioulsy both times they were accidental, so we don't want to be overly harsh with innocent mistakes.

Chloe Adams has been harshly reprimanded by the board of directors of Kopite Juniors for her "willful spending"
Gareth Southgate was seen leaving the club earlier in the week, only to return a few days later.
"Those points could cost us" said one director.
Chloe's only response was "But I like the name Teddy, it sounds so cuddly".
It has been rumoured that last year's silverware had already been packed up and boxed ready for a new owner next season.

Well, Im glad to see that im not dead last in every category, just the most important one....
That said, WinningConnection Gaffer Jonathan Chase has read the riot act to his team, (perhaps not a wise move after just one game) and expects that his players perform at a level he knows they can. Saying "If they dont shape up, they ship out, and I have no problem using my free transfer every single week, and if poor performances continue I will go as far as Kopite Jrs. They are not the only Chelsea in this league..."

Note to self: Don't sell and buy the same player in the same transfer week, Southgate better get a clean sheet and a hattrick this weekend!
The new board of directors for Aviators this season insisted that the gaffer put a lid on the transfers. Hal was not going to be able to make multiple transfers every week like last season.
However, as Mendieta became available, Hal was able to persuade the board to free up the funds necessary to acquire the Spanish international.
It was a tough decision, but the board went along. Hal even banked some funds so that Aviators is ready to swoop for Crespo should he sign with Chelsea.
Aviators noticed that 3 other Very Small Rocks teams have set aside some extra cash so it could be a race to sign the Argentinan.
While Crespo's agent is in London to talk to the Chelsea board, Aviators gaffer has jetted off to Milan to have direct talks with Crespo and ensure he has recovered from the injuries he experienced last season.

I was so hoping I'd be able to stumble upon Mendieta before anyone else... :( I'm not off to a good start, drafted two players in the Leeds doghouse who might never see action, and was the first person to be striken with striker injury bug...
