New manager Jonathan Ingram has vowed that today's triple swoop marks the end of his pre-season transfers. The biggest of the day's transfers sees want-away striker Hasselbaink released for Mutu. Also notable is Ingram's move for Ronaldo. Darius Vassell has been released to make room for the new Man U recruit. The third transfer of the day sees veteran Gerry Taggart released to make room for Charlton's Kishishev.

LSG have been remarkably busy in the days leading up to the start of the season, making a total of 6 changes since the draft's conclusion. Sources close to Ingram say that he felt pressured to complete dealings today as the team's board of directors were pressuring him to "get off the damn computer."

Seeking a versatile partner for striking ace Henry Sir Jonathan Chase Manager of Winning Connection has successfully completed a swoop for Astonvilla's Vassel, to replace the old and decrepit Andrew Cole... Rumours say that "Chase isnt done yet" and may still have a few "big name" signings to unleash before the rapidly approaching deadline.

Rumors are swirling that Nocturnal's obvious Leeds bias will become the death of them... Despite reports that NU was dropping two Leeds players, exclusive documents show that while Nocturnal did indeed drop two Leeds players, they were replaced with two different Leeds players...

When asked for a comment Jason Darr just rolled his eyes and proclaimed, "Look were not Chelsea!, our Lottery ticket has yet to come in!"...

Chloe Adams was lauded as a transfer maestro by the official supporters club of Kopite Juniors today.

After hiring extra staff to polish silverware from last season and contractors to build cabinets to house last year's trophies. Manager of the Year Adams swooped today to add strength to the Juniors forward line.

"Fan's disgruntled with the loss of last year's superstar, Henry can rest assured" she said. "After all he showed his true colours playing for two teams at the end of last season!!" :D

Chloe walked off whistling "when the saints go marching in" ....

Congratulations Chloe,

That's what happens when you make an assumption. I didn't swoop for Kleberson when I noticed him in the database so that Buffalo Soldier could pick him up completing his draft.

I assumed I would be given first right of refusal since I had drafted Phillips. Yes, I know I renounced the draft claim to Phillips to comply with Michel's proposal for dealing with new transfers after the draft. Still, I assumed I would have a shot at Phillilps before the free-for-all.

Sorry if I stepped on toes, but after we decided on a "free for all" policy I took that literally.

I assumed with the doubts over the Phillips transfer last week that you had relinquished your hold on him. Especially after i saw your "OUT" message in the forum.

If I need to reverse this transfer let me know.

I had noticed the Southampton press conference was at 9am my time this morning and he was in the database by 9:10. I actually struggled with the premierleague site for the next 20 minutes or so as it was dragging and I assumed someone would beat me to him.

I think a review of our discussion about wildcards ended with a majority view that a free-for-all was the fairest solution. Impossible to read minds but I had assumed Hal's signing of Di Canio was a product of relinquishing Phillips.

Of course it's between the two of you if you want to settle this... but now let's be absolutely clear... from now on any player who's:

- available in the system and
- not either on a team's roster or spoken for in the transfer forum,

is the property of the first to get him.

This should be much clearer once the season starts anyway. The days of paranoid, constant checks for new players I needed might have been more stressful than the draft!

Oh well, I had assumed that Wright-Phillips was spoken for and never tried because him and Kleb were drafted.... so i thought anyway... no sweat, although i should have picked up Wright Phillips first and then worried about if i have to give him up later... but nothing too serious...

Wright-Phillips from City? He was and still is available as far as I know.

Hal did post a "Phillips OUT" message in the proper forum for such discussion, seems clear as glass to me.

We were discussing Kevin Phillips of Southampton not Wright Phillips of Man City. If you want Wright Phillips, go get him.

Jardel in, Todorov out as Many Points FC Shuffles Front Line

In reaction to the shock news coming out of Pompey today that last year's scoring sensation Svetoslav Todorov will miss the entire season due to ligament damage, Many Points FC President Justin regrets to announce that the player has been dropped from his squad. "Most seasons you'll find some real gems coming from the promoted sides," he explained. "I had high hopes for Todorov being one of those players this season," he continued. "It's an unfortunate situation for the club, and must be pretty crappy for Todorov as well."

Fortunately for Many Points FC, the timing of Todorov's injury coincides with Bolton's signing of scoring sensation Mario Jardel. This change was looked upon quite positively by President Justin, who managed to grab Jardel as soon as he hit the market. "As much as losing Todorov hurts, we're very excited to bring Jardel to the team. While scoring 26 goals in the First Division is impressive, it pales in comparison to Jardel's year-to-year scoring in both the domestic and international game. Jardel is a perfect player for our family, as he's shown throughout his career that he adhere's to in the club's mantra - scoring many points."

To finance the move, surplus midfielder Scott Parker was sold in favor of a cheaper alternative. Fulham's Inamoto now holds that roster slot, although Justin expressed that this is temporary and other options are being evaluated in anticipation of the week's opening match on Saturday.

Well. Eleven points from Day One. I wanted to hit the ground running and instead hit bottom with a thud. I can only take heart by remembering that I have 44.5 million worth of talent left to play tomorrow...

It is open season now so make as many moves as you wish, just remember not to buy someone who is on another player's roster.

Remember that you have one free transfer per week, any additional transfers will cost you 4 points.

For example I just switched one of my bench warmers, that was my freebie, if I make another transfer between now and next Saturday premierleague.com will deduct 4 points from my overall score.
