We've got 13 games left this season. Using current league standings, only 4 of these games are with teams below us in the table.

Here's the question: How many points do we take from the remaining fixtures?

Remaining Fixtures:

Feb. 3 - Middlesborough (Home) Win - 3 pts.
Feb. 9 - Aston Villa (Away)
Feb. 23 - Man U (Home)
Mar. 1 - Blackburn (Home) Tie - 1 pt.
Mar. 8 - Liverpool (Away)
Mar. 22 - Fulham (Home) Win - 3 pts.
Mar.30 - Tottenham (Away)
Apr. 5 - Reading (Home) Win - 3 pts.
Apr. 12 - Portsmouth (Away)
Apr. 19 - Sunderland (Home) Win - 3 pts.
Apr. 26 - West Ham (Away) Tie - 1 pt.
May 3 - Chelsea (Home)
May 11 - Everton (Away)

I've looked it over and I can hope for 12 points from the teams currently below us (Middlesborough, Fulham, Reading, Sunderland.) I'm hoping we can take a point each from Blackburn and West Ham. That gets us over 40 points, but it is an iffy proposition.

Even if Liverpool continue to implode, we do not have a good record against them. Tottenham looks to be responding to Ramos, and Everton are playing well. I don't have a good feel for Portsmouth or Chelsea, but we didn't play well against either club earlier.

My final points prediction: 43

Let's put our forecasting skills on record and see what happens.

********in A Right...BTW I corrected yer post.

Absurdity and the embracement of Absurdity as a tactic and strategy tends to cloud my opinion.

Feb. 3 - Middlesborough (Home) Tie/1pt, if we don't get it we won't get 3 points again for a while
Feb. 9 - Aston Villa (Away) 0
Feb. 23 - Man U (Home) 0
Mar. 1 - Blackburn (Home) 0
Mar. 8 - Liverpool (Away) 0
Mar. 17 -Birmingham (Away) Win/3pts
Mar. 22 - Fulham (Home) Win/3 pts.

Apr. 19 - Sunderland (Home) Win/3 pts.
Apr. 26 - West Ham (Away) 0

I am being fully pessimistic here, and the run of play lately is backing this up my pessimism very well. I see only 13 pts from here on out. Giving us 40 pts total and putting us right in the relegation fight.

We only need 5 wins and 2 draws now instead of 6 wins to assure safety. And we only play 3 teams below us in the table as of this date.

Thx,

Jay!

We may go down. We're awful and it seems we're regressing. Thank God for Derby but the real key is Sunderland and Fulham need to keep losing. After today I'm convinced the Smoggies will sit higher then us come seasons end. I just don't see us in our current form getting to 40 points.

Don't forget about Reading. They're awful right now. Fulham just might nick it and stay up, I think. I called my shot to hoosiertoon earlier, Wigan, Derby, Reading to go down. We'll finish on 36 points but should still clear the drop by 10 points by my projections.

Correct Reading is the only team worse than on us in the Form Table. The thing about Reading though is they can score in bunches and have a top manager in Coppell. I see them getting it right and just staying clear. Wigan is playing better at the moment and they're a tough team to breakdown now under Jewell. We on the other hand can't score and are very easy to breakdown for teams with pace.

and Forest, Leeds, Palace, and even Man U back in the day. kK better get this sorted asap. Looking at this schedule I just don't see more than 5 or 6 points being possible.
