Wimbledon's support is going from bad to ridiculous.
Tonight they played a Div 1 league game at home to Rotherham United.
The attendance was 849, yes thats 849.
I understand Rotherham took 200 fans, therefore theres were a little over 600 Wimbledon fans attending a home game.
Maybe WImbledon will go bankrupt before they move to Milton Keynes.
The team deserves to go out of the league, there are many non league teams whom would be prepared for league football.
PS: I saw my team Sheffield United give it's worse display of the season against Wimbledon (whom brought about 25 fans). I must admit that Wimbledon gave a solid away performance and were very unlucky not to win.

On Radio 5 they said the figure of 849 included the players wives, friends and girlfriends, and the media people (e.g. the commentators), which were around 200. So according to this only 400 or so Wimbeldon fans turned up !!. Apparently it's also the lowest league attendance since a Luton match in 1931 or something. No-one from MK will turn up either as A/ They support other teams, and B/ There is solidarity across the fans against the move.

It's getting ridiculous with Franchise at Selhurst.

I read an article about AFC Wimbledon in which the writer joked about how AFC drew fans in the thousands when most league matches were attended by "a man and his dog."

But hey, I gotta be an AFC fan for one reason -- SI Games is their kit sponsor!
But I wonder how their finances work. At such a low level, are players typically paid? I suppose I'm curious as to what happens to AFC's money.

AFC Wimbledon is entirely owned by The Dons Trust, which is pretty much a co-op. No member can own more than one share in the club. This trust is well-organized and has very good funding, not to mention a sponsorship deal with SI Games.

Just in case you're interested, the lowest ever attendance for a league (or cup) game is 13, when Stockport played someone other than Man Utd at Old Trafford. What odds that'll be beaten ?.

Leicester.
For games other than those behind closed doors, I doubt it at this sort of level, but Clydebank pushed it close. Figures of under thirty (plus a dog) recently.

It's actually a bit misleading (well, totally misleading really) as that game was part of a double-bill of two matches one after the other, with Man Utd playing first, but only 13 people paid specifically just to see the second match. There were actually several thousand there for the match.

Attendance for the Worthington cup match against Rotherham-662 (the cup record is something like 604).

Set by us last season :D
Played against Tranmere, and I think it was a second leg tie with Tranmere holding a healthy first leg advantage. Playing at the Valley Parade didn't help either.
