Why the Hate? Arent you Country over Club? You ain't happy to see a fellow peruano in USA?
naaa he ain't hating he is just messing around... i think most people think this guy is a good asset to any team, he was a sure started for la "U" - he has international experience as well - i think he should be a started but we'll see. I'll be keeping an eye on him and DC eventhought i know very little about DC, can you give us more insight on this team?

Ok, well we recently acquired Argentine Superstar Marcelo Gallardo, who has come from PSG from france, he was unhappy there and bought out his whole contract to come to the US. He just signed as our new DP to be our number 10 in the middle. He was awsome in monaco and when he played for river. So that replaces our onld number 10, Christian Gomez.

Next we just finished signing 2 new defenders, Colombian Ex-National team player, Gonzalo Martinez from Millionarios of Col. and BIG 6'2-6'3 Gonzalo Peralta of Argentina from the Second Div. Team Almirante Brown, He was the team captain and known to have a big presence in the backline. On top of that we acquired a new forward on loan from Argentino Jrs. for 1 year, Franco Niell who should be coming in for when Jaime Moreno is too tired, at 33 yrs old he's on his last years before he retires. Pretty soon he will i am sure, probably not after this season but the next. He still has some gas in the tank(remember his goal against peru in the Copa America :p) and if anything will come on as a later sub with energy and ball holding skill.

And then we have our veterans, Ben Olsen who plays very good for us, and has been here since etcheverry, hes 31 pretty old but still in great shape(American)! He learned alot from Marco, and plays very much with south american presence, backheels, long passes, give and goes, nutmegs, etc. Not like an american at all. And we have on the left Fred, a brasilian who was playing in australia, but won thier MVP which got our attention. Was a good and cheap buy as australia has a low salary cap. He came in and has done wonders for our Left Wing spot, playing really well all year. And then we have our 2 gringos on the wings, Marc Burch on the left, really good long passes, reall really good and Plays Roberto Carlos like. And on the right we Have Namoff who is also a veteran, who has alot of expreience and is more defensive minded. With that siad, i think i talked about everyone minus Simms who's our Defensive mid, he recently has gotten in to really good form in the Defensive Midfield spot, he scored one of the goals against Chivas(mexico) in the copa Sudamericana in DC when they came, where we won 2-1.
O whoops, forgot our most important Goal Scorer, Luciano Emilio, who scored the most goals in the whole league last season, beating out Colombian International in NY who cost them 1.5million a year, and won the MVP of the league.
With that said, if you guys like South American Football watch us when you can, whether it be on fox sports for the concacaf champ. or ESPN when they show us playing. We are alot more fun to watch than any MLS team, given our mostly hispanic line up, 7 out of the 11 players are.

If you do, keep up with us. We are now going to have our second peruvian, the first i believe being "el Chino" alegria(Ex. Alianza Lima) who was here in 2000 or around there, but had problems with fitness and now works at a local indoor soccer spot last i remembered. I would have to play him alot of times, its sorta sad. :(
Also we by far are the team with the most championships inside the league, with 4 MLS cups and also the most with international triumphs. We won the Concacaf Championship from necaxa in 1998, and then went on to challange the winner of south america, of the CL who was vasco de gama. We beat them too. We claimed at the time the title of the America's Best. :D
With that said, here's a clip of our best player we've had, and i thank god we did. If it wasn;t for him we wouldnt be known as good world wide as we sort of are.
With that said, here's a tribute i made with clips from when with bolivia and DC United. Its a tribute to Marco Etcheverry.

Ummm duhhhh, I've been saying it all along. Forget the mexicans, bring in the South Americans for a better family oriented futbol show.

Gracias amigo.
