With Sean Young entering rehab after heckling director Julian Schnabel, i thought it would be a good time to visit this topic. Name your favorite actress who has been stuck with the label of "difficult." The best are those who have interesting endings. There are a number of Golden Age stars who ended up in mental health facilities and such.

It was years ago so my memory is pretty fuzzy, but there was a story in the tabloids back when she was still fairly big about how she balked at doing a love scene with co-star Patrick Bergin. Initially, she pointed at a crew member and something like "I'll only do it with him". The crew member declined, and Young only did the scene after chugging a couple beers.

Her tumultuous relationship with then-husband Nicholas Ray (shortly after which she went on to marry her step-son, Nicholas' son by a previous marriage!) led of course to one of the great examples of self-confessional art, Ray's astounding In a Lonely Place. Hell of an actress though (and easy on the eyes).
