I've bought a few of the 12"s, very nice stuff. The new Black Dice single has a pretty good a-side, but the b-side mix is SLAMMING. Didn't like the last Rapture single, although those guys are spectacular live. The LCD Sounsystem "Losing My Edge" is still great, I think.

Anyone??

I will continue to bump this until someone responds in a positive manner. :)

New Rapture LP review...

This guy is going a bit over the top. I have a copy of it, and it's nowhere near as good as they are live. But it's worth checking out if house, acid, The Cure, Happy Mondays, P.I.L. or Madchester ever meant anything to you.

Wow, the stuff on that label sounds pretty cool as described on Pitchfork. I'll definitely be checking some of their stuff out. Thanks.

On an unrelated note, but something you might be interested in, too, 655321, is the soundtrack for the new movie "Lost In Translation." It features four songs from Kevin Shields (and another from My Bloody Valentine), and songs by Squarepusher, Air, and Jesus and Mary Chain. The movie itself looks pretty good, but I really want to hear the soundtrack...

Didn't notice this thread until I was checking the old music (new books) board for another thread...

Yeah, DFA's kind of a "seal of quality" for me. And I quite liked that last Rapture single.

Anyone else have that little 3" Black Dice CD? My CD player actually shot that thing out of the drawer the first time I hit eject after playing it! Good stuff.
