Nothing about it on The FA site. I'll believe it when I see it.

Sky Sports was reporting yesterday that the SFA confirmed talks had taken place but nothing to announce yet.

*sigh* yet another meaningless friendly.
Why couldn't we have played the Argies?

Somehow i don't think that would be a good fixture for experimentation.

That's all we need: 10,000 Scots roaming London and asking directions to Wembly :D
Cappello better put 100% first team on for the Scots, can't lose that one for the sake of experimentation. Remember that bow larx Sven pulled against the Aussies--those b#stards are still getting a laugh out of it :(

You're right. That Australian game was a nightmare. If we are going to play meaningless friendlies, can we at least make them against teams who will treat it with the same lack of interest as ours?

Exactly. This is the only problem I have with foriegn coaches--even at the club level--is that they tend not to understand rivalry and grudge meetings. Sven didnt get it (e.g. the Australian nightmare) and some of the Prem managers dont get it (e.g. my other team Arsenal getting thrashed by Spurs last week since Wenger didnt start the A team since it was just "The Carling Cup").
Scots, Irish, Oz, Germany, are definate non-experimentation fixtures. Hopefully someone has tipped off Capello about this. ;)

Capello better pick the first team because the Scots are not very good but they usually are up for it on the big games.

Burley does make a good point in regard to the availability of players. There is little point in having a Scotland versus England match with weakened sides. A better date for the game needs to be found.

We should wait until Capello has experimented a bit too. I think we all agree, on both sides, that a half arsed friendly between us is a very bad idea.
Besides, we don't want excuses from whoever loses. You have to be able to have a years worth of no-excuses piss taking after that fixture or there's no point;)
