Was poking around the SC site early today and came across a thread with these posts from the arsenal-mania.com forum. I thought I would re-produce some of them for our enjoyment...
Here are the posts, enjoy:
(Starting 5 mins before KO and ending in tears)
number_0 [Forum Member] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 9:54 am perfect scenario is we go to the game. let tottenham dominate us for ninty minutes then come out with a 0-0 draw.
would be golden to see those small timers celebrate a 0-0 draw at home to their crowd against our reserves.
Kenyonhater [Forum Member] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 2:03 pm It's laughable that their fans will claim that they are better than us if they win. They've already convinced themselves that we are not playing kids or reserves but seasoned international first-teamers. If Gallas plays and then Cesc, Rosicky or Ade come on they will claim we are cheating, ffs!
Of our first choice XI only Gallas (forced by injury to Senderos)and Sagna will probably start. After that it will be squad players, many of whom are very young, plus some first teamers on the bench. Had all our players been fit and available, the squad for the match would have been even younger and less experienced. Senderos, Djourou and Song would almost certainly have been included.
Tottenham could well beat us tonight. That will be annoying but it will mean nothing in terms of our relative quality and potential. For that you only have to glance at the league table. This may seem obvious to most of us but have the briefest of conversations with a Spurs fan today and your grasp on reality will be seriously challenged. They are all terminally deluded.
lee1001 [Favoured Members] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 3:15 pm When we win i can't wait to hear the Spurs fans crying and complaining that we didn't play a youth squad. Like it makes any difference whether we play them with kids or our first team its always the same result.
lagosgooner [Forum Member] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 7:59 pm we are going to murder them I can see it in Gallas's face. Reminds me of Vierra back in the day
lagosgooner [Forum Member] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 8:07 pm jenas
phenn [Forum Member] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 8:08 pm
Well now we just have to rely on the "tottenham bottling effect"
fab4girl [Forum Member] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 8:09 pm what the f**k man!
they touched the ball for the first time and..
phenn [Forum Member] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 8:09 pm Denilson's hurt.

Spurs are f*d.
Lord Dula [Forum Member] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 8:14 pm Some smelly spurs fan said "Fibreglass is warming up. So much for Wenger playing the kids"
Fabregas is younger than all the Spurs players isnt he?
Gunners_Nadz [Local Moderators] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 8:30 pm f**k. 2-0..
Jesus. Jenas is playing a blinder.
Invincible [Forum Member]Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 8:33 pm f**k me, Berbatov hits post.
lagosgooner [Forum Member] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 8:33 pm almost 3-0
Ginger_Reyes [Forum Member] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 8:39 pm A bird has shat on Diaby's head.
Ginger_Reyes [Forum Member] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 8:40 pm
Its an omen.
>YounGunner< [Forum Member]Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 8:41 pm
Can someone tell Diaby this is not a 3 on 3 scorpian game
MDGoonah41 [Forum Member] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 8:42 pm Simple fix here.
Diaby off for Adebayor
Move Walcott to the right flank, Hleb to Diaby's spot, and Adebayor up top.
americanarf [Forum Member] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 8:42 pm king seems to have theo in his back pocket all day long ... he needs Ade or someone else to rattle him.
hujja [Forum Member] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 8:43 pm The mighty Spurs are pissing all over us.
Rocafella [Forum Member] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 8:50 pm HT....
Time to re-group and sort this f****g mess out, starting with the backline. If we can get a goal in the first 15-20 minutes of the 2nd half we can grab a foothold in this match because they'll be shitting it then.
Nyingmeh [Forum Member] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 8:52 pm Can we come back ? YES
Walcott Out => Ade In
Diaby Out => ?? In
Gallas looks Dodgy
Giga [Forum Member] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 9:08 pm Wouldn't it be ironic if Bendtner scores 2 goals? Just like Baptista last season. :)
americanarf [Forum Member] Posted: Tue Jan 22,2008 9:10 pm game over?
lagosgooner [Forum Member] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 9:10 pm Game over
RandomHero84 [Forum Member] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 9:11 pm Humiliation.

Yep. Game over...
Invincible [Forum Member] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 9:11 pm
A scum fan came out to celebrate with Keane. Muppets.
invisibleman18 [Trusted Member Gold] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 9:12 pm
Well it's rather embarrassing now.
Rocafella [Forum Member] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 9:12 pm
dear god this could be 5 or 6 soon.
gunnertilldeath [Trusted Members] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 9:14 pm we're getting f****g thumped now... this is painful.
Lord Dula [Forum Member] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 9:15 pm
In a way it's quite cute - the Lilywhites are such a nice little family club :)
scruzgooner [Forum Member] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 9:18 pm we're not missing anything except execution, passion, flair, quality, and defense. so 3-0 isn't really too bad, is it?
JazzG [Global Moderators] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 9:19 pm This is a f****g joke. One or two goals I can live with but what the f**k is going on here? The defence is a f****g shambles and they could even score more. This is a f****g joke and Wenger needs to get Eduardo out and Adebayor. Get Theo and that Diaby off the f****g pitch, Diaby in particular is annoying the f****g hell out of me. I really wonder if this guy has a future here, he is going backwards with every game he plays.
>YounGunner< [Forum Member] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 9:20 pm
Lets hope Chelsea rip them apart
lagosgooner [Forum Member] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 9:21 pm
4-0
Gazza Martinez [Trusted Member Gold] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 9:23 pm
I know we're all trying to keep a sense of aloofness from this result, but ffs we're being hammered by f****g Spurs 3-0, regardless of it being the tin cup. It's just f****g farcical. They've conceded so many goals at home, and we don't even look like creating anything against them.
Edit: It's 4-0. Jesus wept. It's like the Spuds are exacting revenge for all the misery we've piled on them over the years. Better it comes in CC than the league I guess
beepos [Forum Member] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 9:23 pm
f**k...I quit
Natnat [Global Moderators] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 9:24 pm

HollandGooner [Forum Member] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 9:24 pm Put Pires on the pitch or something
albakos [Forum Member] Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 9:25 pm Good night and better forget this asap.
We need to take a hard lesson from this.. This was a match of century for spurts and we underestimated them on first game. We should have won at Emirates..
We're still light years better than Spurts.
Forget this game. Good night
