Some in the top of my head…

Frey World class goalkeeper-

Scholes best English midfielder who can actually play make however for some reason they think Lampard and Gerrard are good or something world class-

Cambiasso Incredible all-rounder. One of the best in the world in his job-

Ibrahimovic he is even better than the people that wrongly overrated and underrate him. One of the biggest mistakes about Ibra is that he is not a team player, his assist rate is world class and he celebrates an assist as much as when he scores a goal. He creates so much chances for himself and his teammates that at times it seems he is selfish, while overall he is anything but that. Pure world class playmaking striker. A truly unique player–

Marco Materazzi mostly know by people for his deadly tackles and that legendary moment with Zidane in the WC final. His deadly tackles are is very overreacted by the media because he rarely has used them on players overall. When on form and going for a while the best defender of the world with scoring ability. A decisive world champion and he won Serie A defender of the year recently for a reason too. Still holds the record for most goals scored in a Season in Serie A by a defender. Never will there be another defender like him. An Inter legend-

Camoranesi. near world class when he has a free role. Somewhat wasted when only playing on the right wing-

Totti because there are people that think he is not a world class talent. He clearly is. Can play superbly as an attacking midfielder, SS and pure Striker because of his unique talent. Pure World class-

Materazzi is slightly overrated if anything after the world cup. Certainly not in the class of Cannavaro or Nesta.

Not sure about Camoranesi either. He is a bit too inconsistent and his decision making is not great.

Agree with all the others, especially Totti.

i disagree, imo camaronesi is extremely talented and often gets overlooked.

as i've been claiming all along...joe cole, lassana diarra, arteta, walcott, iniesta, diego keep performing well and dont get as much credit as they deserve

Van der Sar.

Can he now be classed as overrated? He has been making numerous bad mistakes since Roma away 2007. The two at Anfield yesterday truly confirm that he is overrated, not underrated.

Teso claims that Van Der Sar was not at fault for the own goal at Anfield.

See the other thread.

Why? The only top class keeper who rarely makes errors is Buffon. Countless other keepers make far worse mistakes than the rare ones VDS does. I don't even consider anything he did yesterday as an error. Certainly not on the scale of what some of the others have done.

Van der Sar is underrated and overrated at the same time I feel.

He's always been sort of "under the radar" in a lot of ways, but he's world class, no two ways about it.

Iniesta, Messi, Xavi, Eto'o...who wouldn't want to be on Barca's jock :p

Iniesta deserves the 'recognition' :)

I'm not even sure if he would make my top 10 central midfielders let alone top 10 overall in the world.

Ridiculous statement. Iniesta has been one of if not the best centermids in la liga. It would help if you watched the players before rating them.
