What's the most underated players for me its probbaly Rogério Ceni who is all time leading scoring goalkeeper who takes free kicks and penalties for Saou Paul and spent his entire career there and capped for brazil a few times. But he's never left Brazil and only has had about 16 caps for brazil.
Totally agree. For me the greatest Brazilian goalie. Besides leading his team to be the most succesful in their country for several years, implementing original defensive tatics, he probably scored more times than Chilavert. ;)

For some reason, whenever great players of the 80s and/or early 90's are discussed, Hugo Sanchez is rarely mentioned.

Simão Sabrosa
Leighton Baines
I guess most people outside of Portugal/Greece don't know him but I'll add him to the my list: Kostas Katsouranis.

Javad Nekounam. Despite Osasuna's record in the first half of the season, he's been arguably the best DM in La Liga for both seasons on either side of his ACL injury. He's also got a pretty notable scoring record for a defensive midfielder.

It is hard to be rated when you are always injured.

Ivica Olic.
More of a late bloomer. Years ago he did a Diego Milito and lead his team with his skills. Grant it, it was in Croatia but when you have a budget of about 3 million Euro and the two giants have it at 13 and 10 million respectively, that's pretty impressive.

Olic is a beast. Guerrero and Petric have both been scoring this year but the constant in HSV's strike force has been Olic - he's like Dirk Kuyt, if Kuyt could dribble and score goals.

Late bloomer yes, still playing at his absolute peak now and wonderfully so. Quite possibly Hamburg's most important player and extremely consistent for them across all competitions in the last year and a half.

No argument but this was a guy I remember Hertha Berlin were excited about and never got his fair shot. Now however he is doing well for himself as he should.

erik ADP is not underrated he's a juve legend. Pato was rated fairly high before coming to Milan and anybody who follows the european leagues know how good he is.

I would have to say in the 90's marco etcehverry was very underrated compared to his talent.

Suárez is sick. Goal scorer & playmaker.
