I thought that as well, but Chelsea have has no problems since he has been out, which leads me to think it was Lampard after all who was the engine of that team.
Or maybe because we have another very underrated player in the form of John Obi Mikel :D

Joe Cole....or Ashley Cole? Or some other Cole? There are lots of Coles out there.

Mikel is highly rated by Chelsea fans, including myself, but I think is really under the radar/overlooked by a lot of people out there.

Bingo. Lampard has a great reading of the game. Our match against Rosenborg last season when he wasn't there hurt us.

Joe Cole is the one I think he's referring to. As for Mikel, yep highly rated by us Chelsea fans but I agree that he isn't rated by non Chelsea fans much but I think it's his temper that's affected it. His temper's improved (Big time) and he's seemed to pick up a few tricks from Makelele.

Also, Pandev and Frey are underrated IMO.

Also, Pandev and Frey are underrated IMO.True. If they were playing in the Serie A 10-15 years ago, they would get the praise they deserve. Domenech is anti-Italy so he doesn't pick any players in the Serie A bar Vieira and that goes against Frey because he doesn't get a chance to show that he is better than the other French GKs. Pandev is Macedonian so he can't have much success at NT level and through no fault of his own.

Teso is just anti-Barca :p
and anti-argentine, he underrates pretty much every argentine out there, his actually very predictable he is VERY subjective with his opinions to the point he is actually making messi a super prone to injury player with his crap GHD comments.....

Excpect him to make some analysis that is out of logic, like for example iniesta not being one of the top ten CM in the world.

come again, Chelsea can't beat any top teams. Essien is much more influencial than Lampard who always goes missing in big games.

Lampard has been playing very very well so far this year.

As RickChelsea also said, Mikel is quite underrated given the way he's played at DM so far.

Bingo. For one notable example, look at the Rosenborg game last season in the CL. He was out and his reading of the game was missed. A Blackburn fan that I know once said of Lampard: "When Chelsea come to Ewood, it's hard to not be impressed by his awareness of space."

Lampard has been playing very very well so far this year.

Correct again. He's seemed to have added a few things to his game as well and has played quite well alongside Deco.

Champions League final, Bayern, and Barcelona find you funny.

how is ribery underrated? he's consider the best player in France -_-

My picks:
-Felipe Melo (Fiorentina)- Best holding midfielder i'd seen, better than Gattusso imo. Not even called to Brazil NT
- Andres Iniesta (Barcelona) - Not even mentioned in the list for ballon d'or , wtf
- Javier Masherano (Liverpool)- How is Henze in Real Madrid And Masherano in Liverpool?
- Bizarri (Catania) - Goalkeeeper, half Catania's team. Probably not called up to Argentina because he's playing in a small team.

Says it all really. Don't pass comment on a subject you know nothing about.

He was just voted the best player in Germany as well but, on this board and in general, he remains underrated in comparison to his peers.
