You beat Arsenals second string and now you think you're gonna beat US!? Sit down, take a deep breath and come to your senses.

We should play our reserves for this. First, the best we can hope for is a draw. And this game is going to be a let down. Perfect timing really, as you would rather have a little let down here than in the league. We need to concentrate of the Man United game at home a week later because that is a bogey fixture that is almost as bad as Arsenal.

damn I was just going to create this...we lose your fault :p
I totally agree with cdmphy we should field some of our reserves and hope for a draw too.

edit: any news on bent? is he fit? if so start him and Defoe and let berbs and keane rest. Hudds should get a start also.

US!? How dare we consider the possibility of beating US!?

Did you say something similar to Coventry?

We're always shite at old trafford, can't see us getting much out this to be honest, got the hardest tie possible.

without looking up old results, i think we've been stronger against them there than we have at the lane, recently, no?

*grasp* at lack of optimism.

. . . But this time we have "Rambo" Ramos . . . (just admit it . . . you got to love that poster of him!) . . . our most successful manager to date.

We were so close with Jol in charge but Ramos is better.

I hate looking at historical encounters but we should see what we have on our books and what we are achieving at the present time. We are a much different team. There is no honeymoon period with this manager, this is the genuine article, surely.

We got to keep the faith.

Keep the faith.

Exactly. Every time someone brings up our 'never beating the big 4 away' stat, remember that.

Look, no-one in their right minds goes to Old Trafford expecting to win. But anything's possible. This thread was started in the euphoria of last night, which showed that anything is possible.

We were unlucky not to get at least a draw up there in the league, and have come close in the last few seasons.

Can't remember last season's result, but two seasons ago we gave them a run for their money, with Jenas scoring a sweet free kick in a 1-1 draw.

I think we're well worth a draw and could win a replay at the lane.

Just what we'd need...another game in a crowded fixture schedule!
