Aston Villa is a very strong club.

We are on center stage with the only Saturday game.

They had a tough break at Anfield and I hope that brings them down.

I like our chances but they will be mad.

Thoughts ?

One other point. We will have 2 extra days of rest and being a somewhat older team in some area's this might help us out.

I actually haven't got a clue. I'd be happy with a draw but I also think we can win it ... and I wouldn't be surprised if we got stuffed either. I didn't expect to lose 4-0 at home.

I think Villa are a bit like us, you're never quite sure what you're going to get, then can be very good or poor. Hopefully we get them on a bad day and I think the Liverpool match might have taken a bit out of them too, or I might be clutching at straws. Our away form is decent too ...

Haven't a clue.

I do think you are right Villa is like us for completly different reasons.

Villa is Young and Vibrant and the Owner has lots of cash and is willing to spend it. He has had a lot of luck with young teams and has proven he will open the pocketbook.

We are old and crusty and our owner is very tight with the Money. Old and crusty can also mean we have veterans who know how to treat the youth and show them the old school tactics we know and love.

My prediction - Toss up.

How lame of a prediction is that. I could say we will beat them like a bass drum but that would be a metaphorical lie.

Oh well. It is ROVER TIME>.....

Yeah, this year's Villa team is improving fast I agree. I think their hot and cold season is probably due to the age of their squad too, unfortunately it's becoming more hot than cold and we're the opposite.

While our recent play is worrying, if not results, my dad had a point when we were leaving the ground on Saturday. I was moaning about if we play like that against Villa and Everton we'll get slaughtered. He said "We won't play like that against them." Thinking about it he's probably right, we will raise our game, and they'll be pushing out trying to win. He's normally more pessismistic than me too.

Not convinced though.

We haven't a clue then;)

Of this thereis not doubt we plat up or ,unfortunately, down to the competition.

I do think Villa is on the upswing and we are on the down.Hopefully those young legs wil be tired since we will have so much rest relative to Villa.

I am excited. I think it could be a brilliant match.

Again. It is Rover Time!!!!!!!!!

Hey look at Bristol..

you know i am getting a bit fed up with you about our chairman being tight. No offence but jack walker is not around anymore live with it untill a billionare takes us over h its going to be like that we are a small town club and getting gates of 20000 every week is still very good. You only have to look over in yorkshire at leeds united and realise that spending millions and put the club in serious financial difficulties is not the answer.

According to "The Sun" (insert joke here), it is a consortium of Asian businessmen based in Yorkshire. I can't imagine why a few businessmen -- foreigners actually -- would want to buy Rovers unless it is to sell the club's assets off, piece by piece.

However, perhaps they do have the club's longetivity and future in mind -- I doubt it though. With the assumption that they want to improve the club, considering the high amount of Asians in Blackburn perhaps the purchase might do something to motivate Blackburn Asians to become Rovers fans????

There is a lot of liquidity in Asia. They should buy the club at a cheap price knowing that the key to the premiereship is staying in the premiereship. This mean NOT SELLING THE CLUB'S ASSETS.

I would just like us to be a bit more like AVFC. They really have started with a Young club that is growing up before our eyes. They have spent money in the right place. I just think ROvers could market themselves way more agressively worldwide. Go on friendly's to places where there is lots of capital and build a remote fan base. Forget going to Europe they know all about us.

Go to Asia the US & Canada. Promote and sell your gear. I think the owner's just have stayed to local and have had a small local yocal mentality.

Believe me I love thius mentality. I live in a small town myself but if we want to compete we need to market ourseleves and I think we make money then we reinvest in quality youth for the future.

In any event, stop in tomorrow prior to KO. If there are no streams, I shall supply us with at the very least audio contact for the match.
