Sorry for the name, but I had to. I predict a big win, and a good atmosphere. Should blood a lot of youngsters, but keep some big guns on the bench just in case we struggle to score.

VoroninHas Voronin been cloned :D I hope you meant one of the youngsters, such as Nemeth. I'd even select Leto, ahead of Riise.

Youve got to stop selecting the youngsters, Insua, Leto and Nemeth etc...they wont play. Also CCSC, it might be a good idea to have a GK on the subs bench...Martin can replace Voronin #2. And also, why did you select Momo, he is away on ACON with Mali.

First of all, I'm not sure if CCSC is submitting a lineup he'd like to see or a lineup he thinks Rafa will play. If it's the former (which is what I usually do), then why not throw someone like Nemeth in there?
I'm not doubting you, as you seem to have very good knowledge of the reserves team, but why are those guys so unlikely to play? I realize it's the FA Cup, and a game we have to win, but we're playing a team from the Conference South. Why not rest some players and get the feet wet of a few youngsters?
Krisztian Nemeth played in Hungary's top division for two seasons, scoring 14 goals in 37 appearances (at the age of 16-18). I'm pretty sure he can handle a non-league minnow.
Leto's made appearances for us in the Carling Cup, one against Reading. Why is he unable to play against Whoville?
I do get a bit frustrated with Rafa's hesitancy when it comes to blooding our youth. We've invested heavily in youth transfers, why not throw them on the field and see what they can do (at least when we're playing teams we should crush, like H&W)?
If you've got some inside knowledge as to why neither Insua, Leto, nor Nemeth are should play, I'd love to hear it. But I have no doubt that by mixing a few (maybe one) of those guys in we can still win. I'd agree that it's unfair to a guy like Voronin/Kuyt/Crouch to pass them over for a teenager, but I'd like to see what we have in the pipelines.

I do think that if any reserve team players are ever going to get a game (Darby, Insua, Spearing, Leto, El Zhar and Nemeth) then it will be this game. Rafa hasnt mentioned very many youngsters for previous cup outings (he has said, "maybe Nabil and Hobbs will play") and what he has done in previous outings, i doubt he will play any from the start and their may be 2 or 3 on the bench.
Also given that if we start Insua, then both Riise and Aurelio miss out on some much needed game time to gain form/confidence/match fitness. Same with Darby, Finnan and Arbs. Spearing is probably 1% chance of playing given that we have 4 CM's and Lucas and Xabi will need more game time and i wouldnt be surprised to see Stevie start the game. Given Pennant missed the previous EPL game, he will surely play this one (unless injured) and Babel will also start as his pace and power will be too good for their players, even if he is predictable, he only has to get better against top class defenders. With Skrtel getting a subs appearance and Carra and Hyypia continuing to start every game, Skrtel should play and Hobbs or Carra will partner him. That makes the back 5: Itandje, Arbs/Finnan, Carra/Hobbs, Skrtel, Riise/Aurelio and the CM will most likely start as Stevie and Xabi with Lucas on the bench. With Babel on the left and 2 out of Voronin, Crouch and Torres surely to start the game, then there is only the RW position to decide. Pennant will most likely play to continue getting match fitness and then El Zhar can be on the bench to play either RW or LW. If he subs on for Pennant then it will be a direct swap but he could sub for Voronin/Crouch/Torres and then play at LW with Babel moving up front. Basically the team will/should be:
_________________Itandje_________________
Finnan/Arbs__Carra/Hobbs__Skrtel__Riise/Aurelio
Pennant__Lucas/Stevie__Xabi/Stevie____Babel
___________Voronin__Crouch/Torres_________
Bench: Martin, Hobbs/Carra, Gerrard/Lucas, El Zhar, Torres/Crouch
IMO, the definite starters will be these (barring a late injury). Voronin has rarely come off the bench and if he plays, he will usually start the game. Babel will start and should dominate the game, hopefully he gets a lot of the ball around the box, rather than getting the ball around the half-way line.
Im predicting 4-0 (Babel, Crouch, a CB to score and Stevie)

It's the lineup I would like to see. Replace Voronin with Martin like you said and Sissoko with Nemeth. I don't see why we wouldn't bleed some younger players. I am almost tempted to include Leto or Zhar on the subs bench.
Who do I think Rafa will start? I have no idea, honestly I have stopped guessing, because it's even hard to predict the rotation and who is practicing well and shit like that.

Only 4 grinners? No offence to (pauses while he googles the name) Havant & Waterlooville, but if we don't put minimum half a dozen goals past this lot, then we are struggling.
I'm not being arrogant, but looking at the difference between the two teams, we as a big club, should not expect anything less.

We ARE struggling.
On paper...we should win at least 8-0...but on paper, we shouldve finished first in our CL group and on paper, we should be closer Man Utd and Arsenal in the league.
Football isnt won on paper and we are not in good form so i cant see why we will suddenly turn it around.

This should be a training game - several top youngsters should play - if they can't play vs non-league opposition, what are they doing at L'pool then...our youngsters are English champs, aren't they?

Yes, but this is a good opportunity to get gametime into players returning from injury (eg Pennant, Xabi), new players (eg Skrtel) and players who havent been playing/starting very often (eg Crouch, Voronin, Babel, Lucas)

Okay so with the players you want, you can still play some youngsters.

Line-up for this match? I Havant got a clue.;)
I think some youngsters should be given a run out. Like catenaccio said, if they can't beat a non-league side then they don't belong at the club.
