well, new to me, I'm picking up my new '77 Honda cb400f. Got a second look at it last night...got a lot of work to do since it'd been sitting for 15 years, but it's going to be a great bike to turn into a cafe-style racer. It's not the vespa that I wanted, but for sixty bucks for a complete bike, can I really complain?

Got the bike home, pulled the tank and acid etched out the rust last night (I'm a little surprised I didn't get any acid burns, that muratic stuff is insane). Pulled the carbs this morning and took them aparts. got a battery this afternoon, just need to charge it. All I have to do is wait for my carb rebild and master cylander rebuild kits, and rewire a few things, and she should be up and running. I'm pretty stoked.

Congrats on your (now not so new) motorcycle. I've not noticed too many football fans who are bikers so its good to hear of another one (even if you are a 'zards fan). I bought a 2004 Suzuki DL 1000 2 months ago and I'm going to ride it from DC to Columbus for the US qualifier against Grenada. Keep safe out there.

Dallas has a couple of guys who bike and take bike trips to games...they're here on BS, too. Can't remember thier handles, though...

My bike still isn't running...I rebuilt all four carbs then broke part of the pot metal link arm checking the needle height. I've been putting of working on it because of the winter and my recent wedding, and general lack of funds, but maybe I'll just try JB Weld...the Honda assembly is lik $90...I can buy a whole new carb off of eBay for that.

When you are done, I've got a 1985 BMW K100LT for you to work on for me!
