Hello, troops.

Upon reading through the ‘decline thread’ and the seeming consensus opinion that posters would like to see a different format to the board put in place, we’ve decided to give it a trial a run. If you are all as good as your word and it generates more constructive conversation, we are all for it and from now on we will not be moving threads into their larger brothers as a first consideration.

The reasoning given by a few posters in the ‘decline’ thread was that good threads would stand up to scrutiny by themselves and would live or die by the strength of opinion to the subject matter. Well then, let’s see if that is the case!

The only threads we will be moving from now on are those pertaining to transfer rumours, which have no strong grounding in reality (i.e lifted from tribal who have taken it from a feeble initial source) and threads that serve no valuable purpose as they ask nothing of a reader.

Let the trial run commence,

Your ever-smiling mod team., and super mod, NM.

I think it means the mods won't be so trigger happy in moving or closing threads and instead will let them play out and let discussions hopefully run their course constructively. Or something.

It's very straightforward. The mods will no longer merge threads with narrow topics into the larger mega-threads. For example, the thread that someone might soon start celebrating Paul Scholes return will not be merged into the giant Paul Scholes thread. They will let more threads on smaller topics exist without interference, unlike before when the smaller threads would be moved.

Sure... I doubt it will make a difference. To me, the decline has mostly to do with the fact that nearly half the posts made on this board have little to do with Manchester United. That drives away those who are serious about posting and it leads to general apathy for posting by the diehards who remain.

I don't think that will do much because the topics will be discussed, it doesn't matter where.

They quality of the board will not go back up until I leave, so we are screwed. :p

Most of the time I find them all over the internet and save them to a special, hidden confidential top secret folder. Other times I make them.

I have some stuff in my guestbook if you'd like to take a look.

Wow you're good. Ummm, will you draw me?.........naked?
