Only a friendly and whatnot but saw a couple of mentions of it in other threads and we usually do one for pre-season games etc. so thought I'd start this. If there's no interest, then, well, at least I bumped up my post count by one. :p

NO injuries, please!!!!!

An oppurtunity for squad players to get a bit of a run out in the sun and perhaps the odd youngster to get a taste of being around the first teamers.

Fergie, speaking ahead of the game:

"We will have two good training sessions out here on Wednesday and Thursday in good, warm conditions, so that will definitely be an advantage to us before we go back to Manchester and we have made a decision to come out here which we hope will prove right.

"We have gone away before in mid-season and it has worked well for us. We went to Dubai a couple of years ago and we won the FA Cup at the end of that season.

"Obviously, if we go back home and get a bad result, then people will say that we shouldn't have come here, but I'm sure that being here won't do us any harm at all.

"We are delighted to be here and I just hope that the sun gets even warmer over the next few days! We get back to Manchester on Thursday, so that will give us three days to prepare for the Spurs on the Sunday.

"It's a terrific tie for us and hopefully this trip will help us.

"All of the players will play some part and I will start with my strongest team, so the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and Carlos Tevez will all be involved.

"We have brought 21 players with us, though, so it's a chance for the likes of Darren Fletcher and John O'Shea to get some time on the pitch and we have also brought a young player called Danny Welbeck.

"We think he has a real chance and this is his first chance with the first-team, so it's an important game for him. But we hope that people will look back on this game in years to come as the day that he made his debut."

And just when I look, here they are.

Looks like TVANTS is the streaming program of choice.

Only want to see first teamers for 45, let Sheasy, Fletch, Nani, Pique, etc fill out the 2nd half along with Wellbeck, who I'm excited to see play with the big guns. I do think we have better prospects than this kid, but if Fergie sees something then f**k me, what can I say? Should be good.

In my opinion there are five players in our squad that we cannot live without: Ferdinand, Vidic, Ronaldo, Rooney, and Tevez. That being said, I wouldn't play them at all in this meaningless fixture. But since Ferguson has said that he is going to play a full strength squad, I would like to see him pull these five out after 30 minutes. I understand that he wants to put on a good show with his full first team, but there is no sense in risking a potential injury by leaving them out there for a full half or more.

I would just tell them not to over exert themselves. I doubt the Al Hilal players will be playing fiercely. I definately would not play Hargreaves.

I would also use this game to play Anderson in a more attacking role. This could also be valuable match practise for Park.

Let's be realistic, this match needs playing because of the bling.

That set aside, I think it could be a nice break for the team. So long as they are mostly in cruise control and the Al Hilal players don't go bonkers and wild on the field, I see this as a nice chance. I don't think most of our players will be playing the full 90 minutes.

first of all i m excited to see how welbeck is going to play never heard of him before, secondly i really wanna see the game but there are no tv coverage that said i never used live streams so if anyone can help i ll appreciate it , as for the game i want anderson to play in attacking role , i also heard that al hilal are not that bad they yasser al qahtani who was going to complete a 7 million pound deal to man citeh but wanted to wait until end of season , so i would say 3-0 man utd , or 3-1 sami el jabber will socre .....

Watching Fergie cringe through the PR exercise was quite entertaining. He looked like he was reading from an auto cue with a sniper rifle primed at his head.

We better not get any injuries from this joke of a game.

I worry about fatigue..

I think we should come back home in one piece...Hargreaves would tweak something. I want him having no part in this game.

Please if you see these links excuse our ignorant reporter as he's supposed to cover local games only, he keeps bugging the players and Fergie in the lobby.. typical ART behavior.

Don't worry about your stars, I'm only worried it'll be a galore of goals in our helpless Hilal :(

ReMad do you post in Montada?

Sheez, the channel SaudiSports on TVANTS is showing some sort of Arabic PSA on the evils of smoking! Hope it gets on the match soon, think it starts about 7 minutes from now.
