Guilty pleasure alert! :D

Sly at his anti-social best. Enjoy.

I just came back from watching it.

The nuanced performances divulged the juxtaposition between serenity and vehemence such that penetrative discernment was gleaned by the conclusion of the cinematic engagement.

Not to mention that [there were lots and lots of 'splosions!]

It was pretty good. This is the first movie in the series in which John Rambo doesn't go in as a one-man army (though he was still pretty darned formidable) and, for better or for worse, the combat carnage was more realistically gruesome. The story takes place in civil war torn Burma (though Rambo has been living in neighboring Thailand all these years) and involves missionaries from Colorado - that's all I'll reveal for now as to not to ruin the plot for those who have yet to see it.

And it's less "guilty pleasure"-esque than Parts II & III, so don't fear going to see this one. ;)

Interesting interview (http://www.film.com/movies/story/rambosdadtalks/11597472/18284540) with David Morrell (the author of the book First Blood), including his thoughts on this film. :)
