It´s unbelievable that a F95 fan fear for the future of his club..there is just so much damage that can be done by mismanagement!
Actually, I don´t fear the future of F95 in general! I just don´t know, when Fortuna will have a chance like this season to make it to the 2. Bundesliga again! Having the new Regionalliga next season, I don´t know, when Düsseldorf will have a team, strong enough to get promoted, next time!
If Fortuna plays in 2. Bundesliga next season, I´m optimistic, they´ll stay there and maybe even make it to the 1. Bundesliga in some years, but if they stay in Regionalliga, I´m afraid, they´ll stuck there for another bunch of years.

Well, I´ll give F95 a 60% chance of getting promoted this year...

Somehow, I missed this thread (thanks to Borussia for pointing it out to me). Another F95 fan here (had an assignment in the area for several months during Fortuna's last run in the 1.BL). Big weekend. RWO doesn't play, Ahlen is away against a desperate Magdeburg team, Union's away to a similarly desperate RWE, Emden's away to an also-desperate Dresden, Erfurt's away to similarly situated Wuppertal, and I don't care about Bremen II. Meanwhile, we play no-hopers Luebeck away; if anyone's the favorite to pick up three points this weekend, it's Fortuna.
Meanwhile, while I can't believe I'm saying this, given the Euro/dollar exchange rate, but does anyone know how I can purchase Fortuna merchandise for shipment to the U.S.? I've looked on many occasions at the club's website, but the fanshop only appears to accept orders for delivery to Germany.

Try the good folks at Fan and More (http://www.fanandmore.info/Fussball-Fanshop/Bundesliga/fc-fortuna-duesseldorf-fanartikel/index.htm), a beautiful little fanshop on Oststraße. Not sure whether they've ever shipped to America, but their Website at least allows for the US as an address choice.

Welcome to this thread Friendly Ghost! I´m sure, you´ll enrich it!
Unfortunately, the Fortuna-game against Lübeck today has been cancelled. Due to heavy rain the field is unplayable.
But we´ll see, what comes out of the matches, you mentioned above...

Wow! Fortuna Düsseldorf - Oberhausen 3:0! More than 17.000 spectators. A very important win! Fortuna couldn´t afford to lose this game, but that´s awesome!

A big win; still not enough to get us into the promotion spots, but there's still that game in hand with Luebeck (which if played should give the team 3 more points, and if not played, will cost those teams in front of Fortuna points previously earned against Luebeck).
This is going to go down to the last game of the season; definitely not for the faint of heart.

You might say that again....

crazy...six points between 1st and 9th, if you have a look at the number of games played, it´s even closer! In the end, we have to be careful, not to be relegated... ;)

A loss to Luebeck today. Not good. That's 3 points F95 should have seized and will likely regret not getting at the end of the season. Howe can you kick RWO's butt one game and get kicked in the butt by cellar dweller Luebeck in the next?

I have no idea! :(
Fortuna had an unique chance to get ahead of their competitors with one or even two games less than every team ahead of them and the game against Lübeck had to be won. They would have had an excellent position, if they had won the game...now they´re just in reach of the promotion zone with no better chances than anyone else!
Very disapointing!
Let´s see, how the team shows up against BVB II in 1,5 weeks.

Rot-Weiss Ahlen - Fortuna Düsseldorf 5:1 :(
Fortuna possibly ruined the promotion in the last two games!
They´re still just two points behind 2nd, nevertheless they´re 10th(!!!) right now.
If they continue playing like that, they won´t even make it to the reorganized Regionalliga...
They have to show some spirit an win against BVB II on Friday!

Much better performance against BvBII...4-0 and suddenly Fortuna are back in the race.
This season will be a nailbiter in RLN

Why oh why didn´t they just win (or at least tie) the last two games...they would´ve been in a great position right now!
As you said, this season will be a nailbiter till the end!
