World Cup Archive Thread

The World Cup Archive was a great site that was taken down. Lets try to recreate everything with a thread.

We need to post all time results, legends, the story about each world cup, all time statistics etc.

Then Once We Get All the Info. here someone should create a site similar to the old world cup archive... call it World Cup Archive 2

This sounds like a great idea, but each World Cup is so full of history and peculiarities that it'll take many of us to contribute... mere facts and figures are easy to get from fifa.com, etc., but the stories... ah that'll take a tad more effort!!!!

We'll see how much all of us want to cooperate...

I say start a new thread for each world cup. Then assign a starting the thread and filling in the details of that cup to a diffrent poster. Then once people have stories and other stuff to add they can put it on that thread, in order to orginize it.

If people have questions to ask they call look in the proper thread and if the answer is not there they can ask it.

I'll sign up for a world cup or two.

That site ruled. It was my favorite site for World Cup history. It's a shame it was taken down. I liked it especially for the stories and complete tables, I really got a feel for the atmosphere present at each world cup from that site. I can provide a little information for 1998 and 2002, 1990 (my first on a t.v. with poor Univision reception) and 1994 happened too long ago for me to be of service. Unforunately I didn't become a die-hard soccer lunatic until 1996 on a trip to Spain.
