i don't get it. top notch women's soccer on your doorstep and the usa's two matches draw 1,000 and 500 attendance. sure, it's not the wwc, but, given the chance, i'm buying a ticket. and, if i am the promoter, tickets are going to be inexpensive enough to allow wide attendance.

Those of us lucky enough to live near Chapel Hill, NC have been fortunate enough to watch women's soccer at its highest level.
Chapel Hill, NC...the mecca of women's soccer and feeder program for the USWNT.

I live far from NC, but i had no idea what it was until i googled it. QFT above.
Who is over there from the USA as officials?
Sandra Serafini, FIFA AR, is writing on the US Soccer referee blog. Any refs?

Without a world-wide TV audience there is no need to truck in spectators to fill the stands. This is simply a set of friendlies, like Algarve (an over-hyped winter vacation, err, I mean, training session for Scandinavian teams). To assign greater importance to these games is not wise.
