how do you like em compared to the .7s. . . .they look like they break in a bit better like maybe the upper is softer than on the .7s. . . . any big differences

i never had the .7, but they feel nice, but where my toe bends, there is a stripe, which is like a stiffer paint, which doesn't really flex. that bothered me at the beginning, but i dont notice it anymore. it took me about two hours of good wearing(running and playing) for them to break in completely. but at first, i was scared cause i have kinda wide feet and i thought the clear was hard plastic, but it is sorta like a rubber case

I had a look at the uppers of the F50.8s they other day and its like they are made completely of rubber! Especially the bits where the studs screw in where you have extra grass stains. They did seem really soft though, just not too sturdy.
But they are really nice!

biggest difference is in the chassis!!!! the .6/.7 chassis sucks!!!! soo stiff, this one seems to be much more flexible.

thanks! i thought i would be bombarded by peoples first impressions, but the plastic/rubber heel is really only stiff if force is applied to the rear, other wise it is flexible. where the rear studs are is stiffer rubber/plastic, then you can see a line where the stiffer material is bonded to the rubber, which is perfect for me because my feet are kinda wide. BUT, it is kinda loose where the flexible rubber is not firm against the chassis and make a flop/squeak feel, which is kinda bothersome. but they are great if you wear orthodics or need/have custom soles.

My neighbour wants to get them (he's only like 14 and his feet are still growing) so ive advised him just to get the uppers and use his current chasis. They absolutely CRIPPLED me (they used to be my tunits he has!) but i guess he'll be ok with them. Just might make the sole i bit stiff?

Aparently according to a puma salesman the new puma king XL's are unbelievable.. I know he is bound to say that but he said the leather quality was superior to the kings at the moment (I didn't think that was possible!!!) and that all durability problems puma boots have been solved and these boots are made to last, forever!
GOOD! i thought the execs were wonderful, except for the fact that they barely held up for a season--terrible durability, but then again this was for school so i was always playing on the worst dirt fields imaginable.

its not because you were playin on dirt fields. . . i had them for college playing on well maintained grass fields and they still fell apart after one season of game only wear so i'm really hoping these new pumas will live up to the execs in feel and comfort and surpass them in durability!!!

Yeah, the Execs were fantastic, for 3 months. I absolutely loved those boots but couldn't really justify $125 for a boot that can't hold up to normal wear and tear. I have the Exec Turfs though, they hold up to anything.

Is anyone else thinking teenage life would have been so much more interesting if they had a nurse living next door who gave them freebie footy boots....it's the thing I was striving for when my mind was trying to create pubescent fantasies!!!
