Interesting, the picture of Dempsey shows him wearing it with white shorts, but the shorts they have on today are the same color as the jersey.

This has been the case with the US for a while, the promo photos will show the away kit as "dark-white-dark," but they usually wear dark shorts in games.

Oh I understand that this isn't the first time they've done it. I just thought that with Poland wearing red shorts, we would have gone with the whites.
And it's a bit interesting because, in the past when we have gone with the all-dark look, we've simply used the navy "home" shorts (like we see with the white jersey). These, though, appear to be the "anthracite" color, matching the jersey.

The FIFA rule is with the shorts, not with the shirts. If Poland was wearing all white (shirt and shorts), then the U.S. would be forced to wear different color shorts so as not to clash. Plus, I think that since the kit is gray, I feel they will always be wearing the gray shorts and gray socks with them (I mean, when else are they going to wear them?)

the thing that bothers me about the Holland home kit is the old fashioned v-neck collar. makes me cringe.

Has anybody seen the Nike reproductions of the Brazil WC98 home and away shirts? I saw them at the Nike shop today, and they are absolutely amazing! They look exactly identical, but they're just a nicer material (although the material looks the same)

Yea, I saw that on the U.S. Soccer website too...I knew it wasn't navy blue. Gray, in my mind, is a terrible choice. I guess we shall see how it looks this afternoon on the field.
grey is a great color. very classy. it looked good in the game against poland too. probably the first and last US shirt i buy.

I watched the game yesterday, and I have to publicly change my tune a bit. The team looked good in the all gray kit. I'm still not sold on having gray as a road uniform over red or navy, but it did look very classy as you said. When the jersey was debuted online, I was skeptical for the first time in a long time. Having seen it in action, I realize that it's a very classy jersey.

Apparentely the FC Bayern CL jersey for next season. Looks fantastic! This should be our away, and then one in red for the CL.

I got this from primeiraliga.com forum, but could it be a possible 2008/2009 design for the Benfica jersey?

Your a dunce...
IF you had not already worked it out, this morning's story about us adopting tartan as our away colours for next season was a wee joke for April Fools Day.
In fact, the team will be reverting to a Puma tangerine and green kit for 2008-09 after you voted it your number one choice.
