Someone want to explain why Ireland always has a sponsor? I thought they weren't allowed by FIFA?
The sponsor is only on replicas or on kits worn during friendlies.

I found it on the JJB sports website.
I'm guessing it will be out Monday which is St.Patricks Day, thats when the Ireland shirts usually get released. I couldn't find a date on the website though so it 'could' already be out.

Since I have an Irish Passport (thanks to my wife), I am officially "Black Irish".

tbm, I actually am Irish. My nana and grandpa were both born there and emigrated to Canada after WW2, and my dad was also conceived there.
Thanks for the info. Hopefully Subside will offer personal printing on it.

I haven't bought a new Ireland shirt in a couple of years, I think I'll go for this one.

i've been interested in an ireland shirt for awhile, but the logo on the front just kills it.

Dude, haven't you heard? This year, St. Patrick's Day is on the 15th. The Catholic Church says so. ;)

Why couldn't umbro have kept the new england away kit as simple as the ireland home shirt. May have looked nicer then. Saying that, I've still gone and bought it anyway. Quite a nice shirt to wear.

I think the thing with the Ireland away kit is it pretty much always looks the same. But it always looks good.
I wasn't over keen on last seasons home shirt because it hard those stupid length sleeves. But i really really like this one.
I've seen the England away and it is actually quite nice close up. Although I still think it looks like a training shirt. The lettering REALLY spoils the shirt in my opinion though. It just looks really cheap.
I'd like to see what lettering they have for the Ireland shirt this season. I'm def going to get it. I love it.

Surely that means you actually are Canadian?

See, that's something a lot of non-Canadians don't understand. We're so multi-cultural as a nation, that we tend to call ourselves as whatever nation our parents or grandparents came from. For example, most people from the Greek and Italian communities call themselves Greek and Italian first, and Canadian second. It's a real problem here. We have real trouble creating a national identity for ourselves.

What's the deal with Portsmouth's home shirts suddenly having huge Canterbury logos on each shoulder??
