you could assume the socks would be black or red, hopefully black

Another look at the new Germany away kit:

Not sure what colors the socks are going to be though.

Looks like a Bayern Munich kit.

Looks like a Bayern Munich kit.

and there's a big stripe down the middle...

or Ajax

yea it looks like Adidas took the Ajax template for this one.

i don't see any resemblence to a Bayern Kit. Bayern does not wear Black. excpet for that gold kit a few years back and i thought it looked terrible.

Could go with black and red hoops, possibly with gold accents, such as 2 stripes, or "DFB"

But didn't Bayern have a similar style once or am I just imagining things (which could be a real possibility)?

No Bayern have never worn anything like that...your imagining it, that or i think your thinking of the all gold top with black shorts or the new lyon like 3rd kit. which i still don't see how you could confuse the two.

Well I can see where Cassano is coming from. The red shade of the shirt, the white stripes, the similarly shaped badges...

You probably can't see it because you're a Bayern supporter and see all the shirts so often, but at a glance for a football fan who doesn't see the team week-in-week-out, I can also see the resemblance...

Those stripes are gold, not red.

To me, even though the color scheme is different, it reminds me more of the green and white away strip Germany wore from 1998-2000.

Ireland played them after the second world war when no one else would or something.

But the stripes above are gold...

....so basically any red shirt plus red shorts looks like a Bayern kit :D

Because our home shirts are never consistent...except that they're a shade of red...so something can't really "look like a Bayern shirt"....

can someone remind me why germany had green jerseys in the past?Because that is the main color in the DFB (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DFB)'s logo:

I have to say I loved the Norway shirt from 92 (94?) from Adidas, that had stripes on the arms AND across the front, like they couldn't decide which type of design to use :)

The one on the upper right-hand corner of this image?

I have that one. It's from 1994. It's kind of cool actually. It's very busy, but it works.

... And the England socks could probably do without the Umbro diamond. It just has an argyle-kind of vibe to it.

Ha, if that were the answer to his question, the next question would be "why is that the color of the DFB's logo?"
