Ontario Swine Improvement. It actually came up as a google match so I could not resist:D But seriously, good question; I think it is the name of a trademarked moldable fiberglass technology, but could not find more info. I've wondered about it but never personally tried it. My Nike J guards are still holding up strong.

They look nice but I'm not sure how comfortable they are. Im leaning towards the Kwik's they seem like they will fit my shin the best towards the bottom!

I actually tested these for Nike about 4 months ago (I've been a tester for years now). They were okay, but the sleeves kept slipping - they weren't tight enough. Of course, it was a prototype, so hopefully they fixed the problem. They are very, very light and strong, however. They had me test 3 different type of shinguards over the past year.

Tested these referring to which model? Or are you referring to the Nike OSI shinguards which I've never seen before.

Yes, they were a Nike OSI - had to bake them in the oven for a short time, then molded them to my shin.

Yeah, I kept them up with tape. Wish I could have kept them, but had to send them back to Nike HQ after 6 weeks with my game-log.

a couple people i know have those. they like them, but have had problems with them taking some leg hair with them.
personally i'm not fond of them just cause they look so flimsy, cause the part that isn't in that hex arangement is soft rubber.
i'd go check them out in person if you can first to get a feel for them.

Back when Adidas made them, I bought the really beefy guards that wrap around the whole front of the shin. Despite being larger than just about any other guard, they are very light, protect far better than comparable weight plastic, and fit extremely well. I heartily recommend the technology.

Ya, haha those things wrap really far around your leg. When I first saw the side view I thought it was, in entirety a different apparatus.

No, they attach by velcro straps and have a hinged parts covering the outside and the lower third of the inside shin. Can't find any pictures.
