Hey guys, longtime lurker here, posted occasionally a while back, but have a quick question...
Can anyone tell me whether or not MUTV Online is worth the dosh? I think its 4 quid a month, meaning $8 to most of us. Any insight?

I dont have MUTV online, I get parts of it on Sentanta, but for $8 (I didnt know it was that cheap) I think its worth it. You can all ;the games, and some very interesting programs as well.
For example the only reason I have Sentanta is because of the United games, and thats $15 a month...

You get the radio broadcasts live, not the TV broadcasts. Although there will occasionally be a live TV stream (for example, the testimonial match in Saudi Arabia next week will have a video stream). You can watch and/or download the match highlights from midnight UK time, the highlight packages are generally 15 minutes long.
There is an pretty good collection of archived matches as well as historical and documentary pieces, plus daily news updates including the entire Friday press conference from Sir Alex.
I think it's worth it. Try it for a month, you can always cancel.

I did it, even though it was never full matches. That was before Setanta.
I still have it, but someone Im not paying for it. If you have directv or dish network, I would think you dont need it if you can get setanta and FSC. If not, might as well as it has the longest hilights you'd find anyway.
7-15 minute hilights.

If you have the money, then its worth it. You get audio of all the matches, highlights of all the matches, Fergie's weekly pressers and a bunch of other stuff. If you're trying to decide between getting MUTV Online or getting that box to get Setanta, then I say get that box. If you just want to be able to (at least) listen to all the matches (handy while at work) and see highlights and other videos then subscribe. I've subscribed for the last three years or so and I find it worthwhile. (Of course now that I'm using torrents, its not as necessary.)

If you mean ITVN by "that box", don't do it. It sounds like that company is going to be shut down very soon.

I have it, its ok but its a bit pricey for what you get. But there are some good archived highlighs, etc.
If you don't get Satanta on your tele... then spend the money on setanta broadband (not the box). I do the annual subscription $150/yr. You get Premiere League matches, carling cup, Champions league, and matches from the french and portugial leagues. They also archive most of the matches, so if you miss one, you can watch it later.
Between FCS on my TV and Setanta, I have been able to watch every United match so far this season (except Coventry, and i think I just missed that one).

If you have high speed internet, you can just get Satanta Broadband. No box required.

I subscribe to MUTV and I have been loving the highlight packages and archive footage, shows and academy videos. Only slight draw back was that the last cup game (against villa) was only avaliable to UK subscribers.
That Setanta broadband sounds good to me though.

I suspect it wasn't just you. The MUTV stream was pretty bad on both of my computers as well. The rest of the feeds were just fine.
