Let's do it all again! Except this time, no Butt, no Smith, no Faye, no Beye and no manager. Wednesday we find out if we indeed get to be so fortunate  as to travel to the Emirates for a fourth-round tie or if we get played off the park by a Championship side in a third-round replay for the second year running.
We're in a really tough spot in trying to hold back Stoke's attack. Our most likely ball-winner in the air and our outside defender so far this season are both gone to the ACN and will be of no use. We have zero central defensive midfielders available to us for this game. Sounds like an assload of attack if you ask me. But there isn't anyone I can think of to lie in front of the defenders and protect the back four, so there's not likely to be a lot of link-up play. Not to mention we can expect Carr to get torched early and often on the right side of the defense.
Possible lineup: Given, Carr, Taylor, Cacapa, Enrique, Milner, Emre, N'Zogbia, Duff, Viduka, Owen.
Possible result: I'm not very optimistic. We're going to have to outscore Stoke in this one just because of our availability crunch, which means that we're probably not going to be able to since we've only scored multiple goals a handful of times this year.

This sounds like a line up to be excited about.
Let's see if Nigel has the balls to do it. If he pulls out all the stops, attacks like crazy, and wins... he could find himself managing a decent Championship or League One club.

Thx,

I'm saying Nigel could put in a good show, leave Newcastle, and find a good job.

I'm saying 2-0 Toon.
The players might not be the best professionals in the world, but they are embarassed after Saturday. They come out with a fire in their belly.

It's not being televised in the UK. Don't think we'll be seeing this one.
Radio 5 Live has it, but I can't stream that from the US. Anyone know of a radio link?

Unless Stoke's website has it for free or you have Newcastle World, you're probably out of luck on this one. Live-footy might put up an audio link, they did for the Reading game yesterday.

Just checked...Stoke has "Stoke City World."
I'll check LiveFooty later, otherwise I guess I'll be reading the commentary. Oh well....KEEGAN!!!

Possible lineup: Given, Carr, Taylor, Cacapa, Enrique, Milner, Emre, N'Zogbia, Duff, Viduka, Owen.
Score one for the Mod. Subs: Harper, Edgar, Rozehnal, LuaLua, Carroll.
Not much steel in the center of the park, so Taylor and Cacapa will have to be big again for us. If we can dictate the tempo and keep on the front foot, we should be good for the win particularly with the crowd in such a joyous mood.

Newcastle United: Shay Given (c), Stephen Carr, Jose Enrique, Claudio Cacapa, Steven Taylor, Emre, Charles N’Zogbia, James Milner, Damien Duff, Michael Owen, Mark Viduka
Subs: Steve Harper, David Rozehnal, David Edgar, Kazenga LuaLua, Andy Carroll
Looks like a great line up to me. Let's hope Nigel has them attacking.

Good team. Radio Five Live is working for me somehow. There is a link on Live Footy, but it was playing jazz music.
This is a huge game now. Need a win to keep the spirits high and get some momentum heading into Saturday.
Holy Shit I'm excited!!!

I bet they were using CenturyFM as the link. They used to stream all over but they got wise to the US listeners picking up the game online and went to music instead for non UK listeners. I also bet Five Live cuts out for you right before/at kickoff.
