While this is unfortunately nothing new and will not come as a surprise to anyone here, there is an interesting article in the Independent about parent behaviour at U-little games in the UK:

I had just read that article yesterday and the number of games that are abandond really suprised me. I have never had to abandone one of our state league games in the u10-u17 ages in 7 years.
This one though almost a year old is about the same thing.

Then reading the acts commited by some of those parents I was like wow.
kinda makes the parents in our area look good (but they are really not very good.)

Parents behaving badly isn't exactly a rare thing. This happened in my state in the USA-

The league handled this event in the best manner possible. Even so, there are still the few hotheads who don't get the message. This is for the kids, not some adults living out frustrated athletic ambitions through the kids. Also, not every kid playing is going to be the next Pele, regardless of the parent's opinion.
